You think they would announce ads the same day the Lolla lineup drops? I feel like they wouldn't want to be overshadowed by that. I'm thinking next week for the final round of adds.
even with a yeasayer add and few more. that lolla lineup is hard to beat.

Lolla is going to sell out fast! if the rumors are true which i think they are. I really dont see how bonnaroo will be able sellout with out some adds.
You think? As much as I like the rumored lineup, it's not as if it's packed with rarities or anything. Like, Coachella had a number of really exclusive reunion shows, plus Radiohead, a very rare Dre & Snoop show...I guess Lollapalooza has Black Sabbath, but aside from that it's a lot of bands that are playing extensively this summer. I don't know that it sells out that quickly.
Lolla always sells out pretty quick, they have for the past 4 years.

The only things on that leaked Lolla lineup that I'm really wishing Bonnaroo has are Sigur Ros, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Of Monsters and Men. Seriously though, we have the Avett Brothers, Bon Iver, The Beach Boys, Radiohead, Ben Folds Five... the Roo lineup far trumps that leaked lineup.

I agree. If that leak ends up being legit, It's a nice lineup, but roo still better fits my tastes. I wish roo could have gotten M83 and Jack. I may have to get a one day pass just for Tallest Man On Earth though. I've been trying to see him for what feels like forever.

Anyone think there's any chance Brandi Carlile will be added to Roo? She has a nice big gap in her tour dates, her new album drops on June 5th, and she's played at Roo before. Not sure if there are too many fans of hers here, but her voice is awesome! Also wish we could have gotten Tallest Man on Earth and Of Monsters and Men!
I'm surprised Bonnaroo hasn't returned a mid-tier act from last years bill. I was hoping they would have Florence + the Machine or Sleigh Bells back for this year and put them towards the top like they did with Mumford last year & Phoenix in 2010. Roo put both Mumford & Phoenix in their top 10 when they made a return
Fingers crossed for Florence. She has dates open in early June!

Not to burst anyone's bubble but I feel like Florence and Mars Volta are too big to be added. I would have thought that these acts would have made the initial line-up.

First you guys try to get my hopes up about Yeasayer on the initial, and I have to tell myself it won't happen. Now you're making me go through the same thing again with these adds! Damn you Inforoo!

I can't wait for Bonnaroo to get here, not because it's Bonnaroo, but because it means everyone has to stop speculating on every band that shows the slightest activity.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

It'll calm down before that. After the last round of additions then we'll know for sure who is and isn't playing roo and any other "maybe they'll get added" threads for any band with a gap in their schedule will be locked down quickly.

Jack and Neil are pretty much not happening (sadly...), but if it did somehow come through, this board would lose it's sh*t. We would get so much traffic, it would be a madhouse. Servers would be crashing all over the place
I think the highest billed addition to see at Roo will likely be no higher than somewhere around Yeasayer/Tallest Man On Earth. If the Lolla lineup is real I could see Roo maybe reaching to get something along the lines of Florence or Mars Volta, as I think it would then be the weakest lineup of the three major US festivals. That being said I'm expecting 4 or 5 additions between Danzig Legacy and Punch Brothers, and the rest (10?) after Punch Brothers.

I agree that Bonnaroo is shaping up to have the weakest schedule of the 3 majors, (4th behind squatch) although now that Beck appears to only be a rumor, Roo an Lolla are pretty close. I think that's more comment on how good the others are, not necessarily Bonnaroo being bad as far as poster line-up goes.
[Rant]
However, I AM super pissed about the Sunday thing. Overall Roos lineup is good, but Saturday night is shaping up the be pretty lousy. Assuming Skrillex is Friday, The Roots are really the only semi-HL band that has been at all relevant in the past decade on Saturday. I know it's all a matter of preference, and lots of people are excited about RHCP and Dispatch, but I didn't like them a decade ago and I don't like them now.
I really can't be the only one hoping for another big add not out of logic (cause logically it won't happen) but desperation. Maybe NYCH getting added my first year gave me unrealistic expectations but whatever. I'm bummed.
