I've been wondering this for awhile now, finally looked it up. I had no idea how to same the name of their band, sounded terrible trying to tell people about them...
SBTRKT (pronounced as "subtract") (from Wikipedia)
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.

+1 awesome point for actually admitting that on here
I've just been listening, and reading... Then I went to tell someone about it and realized I had no idea and just ended up spelling it. No problem with MSTRKRFT a few years back, for some reason my brain couldn't make the connection on this one, hah! Corncat curse...

Because of your bravery, I'll admit that I said Dead Maw Five for the 1st few months after discovering Deadmau5.

I will also admit to the bon eye-ver pronunciation. I'm still not even sure if it's MGMT or management.
It was supposed to have been management, but the general public called them MGMT, that's what everyone knew them as, and it stuck.
When I went to see of Montreal in 2007, MGMT was billed as "Management". I didn't even realize that they were the same band until two years ago.
Along the same lines, I for some reason have no issues with STRFKR. I think it's because everywhere on the web it's both "Starquacker" and STRFKR... it's pretty interchangeable.

It's like, if I hand you a sandwich and am all "hey man, have a bit of this delicious ham sandwich," and then you take a bite and hand it back and are all "I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a turkey sandwich," you'd be insane

It's not even like he has to get out early because he has another gig far the next day. He doesn't have anything lined up until July. I'm just... so confused.
I'm straight with it. If they get moved to the unchained spot, then I have to choose between SBTRKT and GZA. So I like it this way. Yeah, SBTRKT late night would have been dope, but this way I get to see all of GZA, SuperJam, Black Star, FlyLo, and SBTRKT. A week ago I was assuming some of these would conflict.

I wonder if anywhere in the 18 pages of this thread if anyone even mentioned the possibility of this not being a LN set. Just terrible.
The thought never crossed my mind. Battles getting a LN was always in doubt to me, but sbtrkt was just assumed as a lock. This is the biggest late night snub I've ever seen.
