Even worse than Explosions in the Sky last year or Animal Collective in 09
Animal Collective is the worst. That was a 2pm Which show with crazy heat and 0 cloud cover. Their was nobody in the crowd moving. EITS had a lot of conflicts but they played in the early evening.
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.

I'm listening to the album just wondering how this even happened. Like did Ashley Capps not listen to the album all the way through? Just listen to the album one time it's obvious it should be at nighttime. But nope Van Halen Tribute Band Time
The SBTRKT slot is hands-down the worst scheduling faux pas this year. I just don't understand how that could happen. And I'll agree that the "Unchained" 2AM set is blasphemous. We need to make something happen.
their night and day show is so different smh..... theyre gonna get miike snowed, theyre new so they get an early slot just like miike snow when they were new smh

I would say AC> SBTRKT> EITS
I actually liked the slot for EITS. As much as I love the LN shows I also find that lead into dusk time frame a nice setting for acts. All the conflicts made for a comfortable show.

At least we have learned a valuable lesson in that we can never just safely assume that any band will automatically get a late night.
I was cool with Skrillex being the first EDM which stage act but I'm not cool with SBTRKT being the first (?) non late night EDM act theyve ever had (lunar stage/arcade not included)
The Sbtrkt show during the day at SXSW was great. Just get close enough to see how busy he is and you'll have a blast!
oh, and BTW- Sbtrkt is a HE, not a THEY. not a band, but a DJ. yes, I know, Sampha is with him this time around, but I just had to say something. Sorry, it was killing me.

I was excited for this show, but there are two other acts I want to see, and I'm not sure if I want my first viewing of him to be a day show, may wait until next year for him to return to the closest club.
5/4 The Breeders
5/19 Titus Andronicus (?)
6/5 Tomahawk w/ Buke and Gase
6/8 Screaming Females
6/20 Billy Idol w/ Cat Power
6/29 Naked Raygun
7/12 Belle & Sebastian w/Yo La Tengo
7/13 Phish or Savages
7/14 Phish or Wire
I mean, it has it's pros and cons, it just has the potential to be such a gnarly late night. I'm so pumped for the incredible run of sets this show is a part of.

to be honest, ive slowly come around to the idea that this will be an awesome show during the day, and im not sure i would even want it moved to the ln
on principle, sbtrkt should get unchained's slot- that is just obvious to me- but the way it stands i get to see battles-sbtrkt-mogwai during the day and superjam-gza at night. and thats a damn good day/night of music right there
battles-sbtrkt-mogwai in a row in one tent is going to be unbelievable, being up front for that 3 show stretch is perhaps what im most excited for this year (other than radiohead and flylo, duh). so yeah, i think id rather have things stay the way they are than see sbtrkt moved to be conflicting with gza
It's like, if I hand you a sandwich and am all "hey man, have a bit of this delicious ham sandwich," and then you take a bite and hand it back and are all "I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a turkey sandwich," you'd be insane
