My new years resolution has been to get into better shape by the end of the year. I've been doing a pretty good job, but the music I listen to will definitely help me in terms of pushing myself and such. I'm moreso looking for music to listen to while I'm running. I remember a few of you guys run, so I figured I'd drop this here. Playlists/mixes/lists/whatever is cool.

Juggs and NoD (and anyone else for that matter), I'd definitely be interested in your running playlists. I've had the same one more or less for months and it definitely gets old. Except for Alive 2007. That never will.
Alright, first off, Juggs I can get down with some Miley but none of that ballad-y garb like The Climb. Gimme some Party in the USA and call it a day. I can def dig some cheese pop in the right situation, so fire away.
NoD I'd love a playlist from you. I'm leaning more towards some more upbeat electronic type stuff so I'm sure you can accomodate that. Also sorry Jackson, but I really dislike Miike Snow Also I live in North Philly so a night run = garunteed mugging.

Personally, I've gotten to the point where I'll listen to most anything in my library during a workout or run. Pop, rock, country, metal, folk, jazz, electronic, rap, don't matter. I tend to eschew the highly experimental realm, but anything else is fair game.
Actually, I listen to a ton of podcasts as well, like This American Life and Radio Lab. I recommend that.
Putting together my running mix for next week. Here's what I got:
1. Jack Rose - Blues For Percy Danforth (Stretching Preparation Song) 2. Fever Ray - If I Had a Heart 3. Jay Z & Kanye West - No Church in the Wild 4. Lil Wayne - A Milli 5. Justice - Civilization 6. The Weeknd - House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls 7. Laurie Anderson - Another Day in America (Break/Recovery) 8. James Blake - I Never Learnt to Share (Start back in when the beat kicks) 9. Arcade Fire - My Body Is a Cage 10. M83 - Midnight City 11. The Black Keys - Howlin' For You 12. The Eagles of Death Metal - Stuck in the Metal 13. The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
