So I JUST watched their performance on Conan and they are an instant "gotta see" band for me. Wow I absolutely loved that song, that performance. I'm really, really digging a lot of acts that sound/remind me of old 60's and 70's stuff and it's just so great. Hope to see them this year.
Good heavens. This band just COMPLETELY KILLS IT !
Have only heard maybe four songs off their (unreleased) CD, and I cannot wait 'til it drops fully. "Hold On" is an instant classic. It's kind of like Jerry Garcia guitar meeting Mavis Staples vocal. Except, better.
And these guys are still just youngsters, from smalltown Alabama. They haven't really even got started yet. But Third Man backs 'em fully, and that's not nothing by a long shot.
If there's still Bonnaroo five years from now, they might could be our next MMJ.
I finally got to see these guys on Saturday in Birmingham and they were excellent. They are the real deal and I look forward to seeing them at Bonnaroo and Hangout this summer. I think they can close a tent on Thursday night.
So totally envious, krs. Was hoping to get tix, but on-lines sold out in < 30 min., and by the time they got to Craig's List, they were like $250 a pop. Still, probably gonna go down there and see if I can scare up a Miracle.
What's the worst that can happen? I get stuck at Tootsie's for a coupla hours, keeping company with PBR longnecks? Far worse things have happened and still will.
