I'm actually going to be making this my phirst (sorry, just fit) Phish show and I'm really excited to say so. Any tips?
Dance like no one is watching, and just surrender to the flow of the music. The best part of the crowd will be up close so try to get in good for the full experience.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Hah okay teenage girl's yearbook quote, whatever you say.
And my comment to Ron Burgandy was based on the "mos h pit" remark. I honestly could not concieve of a mosh pit at Phish. I don't know whether to laugh at that video or be mildly impressed.
I wasn't in the pit but I did throw my back out during killing in the name of. never dancing like that again.

It was pretty moshy for a Phish show, I mean not the front row of a Oz Fest moshing, but when they played Killing In The Name Of for the middle part of Harpua the crowd went pretty nutso. My feet got stomped and people were running into each other pretty hard all over.
Also even if that line is a little trite the one place it can reasonably be applied to is a Phish show.
I much prefer Phish when they don't play cover songs.
To a point I agree, but the one off Fishman covers during Harpua are something else entirely. Past that I do like Page doing Bold as Love, and I have always liked the live Cities that they do. Some like Curtis Lowe, or loving cup get pretty old though.

Craziness!!! Some of Phish's best jams these days come out of Cover Songs. Rock and Roll is currently contending for Jam of 3.0, and is consistently awesome.
And Golden Age (though kind of crappy compared to the original) is considerably better than any song Phish has introduced in 3.0.
And let's not forget timeless classics like Crosseyed, Cities, Ya Mar, 2001, Timber Ho!
I feel like the fact that Phish is only getting 1 show makes Trey a lock to be in the SuperJam.
I bet MEdeski is somewhere in there as well.
maybe throw some ?uestlove and Flea in there. And Robert Randolph. The possibilities are seriously endless this year. I feel like we've got some really, really talented musicians on this lineup. Gary Clark Jr. would be nice, too.
2012 shows: 3/23 - The Men 4/9 - Of Monsters & Men 4/21 - Bassnectar 5/2 - Shpongle 5/22 - Jack White 6/1 - tUnE-yArDs 6/7-6/10 - Bonnaroo 2012 6/18 - Destroyer 6/20 - The Tallest Man On Earth 6/23-6/24 - Governor's Ball
So will Phish do a LN and a Sunday night set? Or just Sunday? Cause I normally wouldn't get down that day, but...gotta experience it once appropriately.

Probably just Sunday from what Bonnaroo says, when the tour dates come out we might have a better idea. Hopefully we will get a little something more than just 2 sets of Phish on Sunday night.

Any word on when tour dates come out. I know there was a rumor for a Wrigley Field show...

I did hear a rumor of a sunrise set from one of the DJ's on XM's Jam ON. I have my doubt's, but it would be real cool. '

FWIW my Phish source who does not even really use the internet very often, much less message boards is still saying they will be there Saturday as well. Of course this is the same guy who told me there would be a 3d lightshow not 3d movie so I take it with a grain of salt.

To be fair, the light show is always in 3D when you're there. I have also heard the "sunrise set" rumor.

Also, a rumor of a Phish Festival at Suwanee.
I would have to make trip if that one is true.
The place would be an absolute zoo....people are still saying Allgood too, which I don't see happening. We'll find out today when they announce their lineup.
Fingers crossed Phish accounces today at noon. It was supposed to be last Tuesday, but got pushed bc of Roo's announcement. They said it'll be the week after Bonnaroo's announcement. Today is exactly 1 week. Not sure if they were being that specific though.
THE LUMINEERS * EVERYONE ORCHESTRA * THE REX JAM *
plus MANY MORE still to be announced! << please note: an additional TWENTY MORE bands remain to be added to the All Good Festival. Lots of great news still to come folks! Now, let's discuss and spread the word.
