I'm just saying, this costs pretty much the same as Coachella, has a few bands that aren't at Coach (jealous of the Presets, John Talabot, Twin Shadow, Toro y Moi), and that's about it. It's a really solid festival lineup, but doesn't blow me away like some of the past Sasquatch lineups have. This is the one fest that every year I'm bummed I can't go, but if I was on the West Coast and travel to this and Coachella were roughly equal, I just don't know that I would see any reason to go to Sasquatch. I know the Gorge is amazing, but this doesn't blow my socks off.
I agree, except for two things. First, as a student/teacher I have a lot more trouble flying across the country for a weekend in April than I do in May. I realize that doesn't apply to everyone, but a large portion of fest-goers are college students, so it does play into the decision for a lot of potential customers. Second, unless their schedule has some horrible conflicts (I've never looked at their past ones), I would imagine you could see more of the bands you wanted to see there than at Coachella. Last year was my first time at Coachella, and the conflicts were just brutal. The opposed HL thing is worse than at Lolla. With Sasquatch being spread out over 4 days, it thins it out some.
Do they have LNs or a curfew, does anyone know? There's no way I can realistically do this, but I'm at least telling myself that I haven't ruled it out yet, just as I'm doing for Coachella.
But wow, I hope a lot of these bands end up at Roo. Postal Service, Empire of the Sun..... the list really just keeps going on.

Did this in the Coachella thread. Doing it here. Bored at work.
Not actually going, but if I were...
Friday Sea Wolf -> Red Fang -> Japandroids -> Nacho Picasso -> Father John Misty -> Arctic Monkeys -> Matthew Dear -> Baauer
Saturday Preservation Hall Jazz Band -> Bombino -> Indians -> Devendra Banhart -> bit of Akron/Family -> Bloc Party -> The xx or John Talabot -> bit of Tame Impala -> Sigur Ros -> Empire of the Sun
Sunday Torche -> Danny Brown -> The Tallest Man On Earth -> El-P -> Shout Out Louds -> some of Earl Sweatshirt -> Elvis Costello -> Grimes -> last bit of Azari & III -> split time between The Presets and Primus 3D
Monday Chvrches -> Brown Bird -> Cody ChestnuTT or Mike Birbiglia -> Dirty Projectors -> Death Grips -> Disclosure -> Ariel Pink -> The Postal Service
So is anyone else going. Or if you have been any advice for some first timers?
Its a little cold up here at night in northwest this time of year, and hot during the day. There is no cover at the gorge so be ready in case it rains. Other than that the gorge is one of the best venues around! The veiws of the main stage are awesome no matter where you're at. Be safe! Have fun!
