I'm not sure, but I think Jellyfish is excited about Empire of the Sun being on this lineup.. Can't say I blame you, definitely hoping Bonnaroo can land that one
There is a lot of win in the undercard for my preferences. Seems to be the year of the undercard, I had the same feelings about Coachellas. Also, seems strange to me that Arctic Monkeys are highly rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury this year, yet when it comes to American festivals they get no higher than 7-10 range

GL, are you going to Roo? I don't know what acts would be on this lineup that aren't gonna be at the other fests you're hitting up this summer. And there's always next year if you're considering for the festival itself's sake. But you're a grown ass man who is much smarter than me, so I believe in you regardless.
I have tickets to Roo (now waiting to see if I use them or sell them).
It's more of the location. I haven't seen my PDX friends since I left there. I'm always looking for a reason to go. The Gorge is just a fantastic place for a festival. Chances are STYX could play for 3 days and I'd wanna go. Chances are I won't but it's a thought.
P4K is certain, Hopscotch is certain, Mt. Oasis is certain. Anything past that is "thinking".
The prices went up when they made it a "4 day". It includes camping and fees (which I wish all festivals would go to that system). shiz's just expensive in the Northwest. I've never been able to explain that one.
I'd like to point out they pulled this lineup out of their ass. This is the same weekend as Primavera. There are a few crossovers but for the most part, this is fresh.

It's a good lineup. But nothing special about it. For me it would in no way be worth the money.
yeah, i also couldn't justify going to see this lineup somewhere in like the midwest for that money, but I imagine the location is legit unbeatable. I have a crush on the pacific NW.

And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
Am I missing something, or isn't this just basically Coachella-lite?
Maybe coachella is Sasquatchish + a little more?
Thats what I was saying in the Coach thread. If Coachella was the only fest I went to this year I wouldve been in love with the lineup. Their second/third tiers were all "festival" whore bands that have shown up on multiple festivals.

I'm just saying, this costs pretty much the same as Coachella, has a few bands that aren't at Coach (jealous of the Presets, John Talabot, Twin Shadow, Toro y Moi), and that's about it. It's a really solid festival lineup, but doesn't blow me away like some of the past Sasquatch lineups have. This is the one fest that every year I'm bummed I can't go, but if I was on the West Coast and travel to this and Coachella were roughly equal, I just don't know that I would see any reason to go to Sasquatch. I know the Gorge is amazing, but this doesn't blow my socks off.
Agreed. Im only tossing it around because I have friends that have been begging me to come out to Portland and I could roll this into a combined trip but if not for that I wouldnt be returning to the Gorge for the sole purpose of Sasquatch. I hate living on the East coast.

In my mind it's the stuff worth seeing from Coachella with the inclusion of Americana. It's not spectacular or anything and I liked last years lineup a little bit more, but none the less I'm happy.
