eh Put Radiohead on Sunday and make those guys stay the whole weekend for once.
That doesn't make any sense. It's not like all the faux-hippies and wookies who stumble around flailing their arms in semi-rhythmic spasms to Phish have jobs or lives to get back to. For them it's just "stay on the farm as late as possible, get 'faced, pack up the car and head to the next stop on tour, brah!" They could stick around for an extra week, not like it matters. If you put Radiohead on Sunday, lots of people with actual responsibility would be forced to either miss additional time from work, or skip the show. If you put Phish on Sunday, worst case scenario is that Cold Stone Creamery is missing a few ice cream technicians Monday.
Yeah because only spun out wooks like Phish LOL. I mean when I look at the crew I go to Phish shows with we have a paralegal, Elementary school teacher, a computer professional, a guy who works at Vanderbilt, and a quality control engineer for a metal fabrication company.
Stereotypes just aren't what they used to be hoss.

Aka, "law-school drop out."
Summers off. They can stick around. Also, if there's anyone who can relate to kindergarteners who like nothing more than finger paints and naps, it's a Phish fan.
Aka, "maintains a blog."
I note you didn't say "a guy who is a professor at Vanderbilt," so I'm going to go ahead and assume that he works in the cafeteria, or mops floors.
So he stands on an assembly line and watches pieces of metal roll by? Trippy, brah.
Stereotypes just aren't what they used to be hoss.
Au contraire.
Well considering two of them are members here I will let them defend themselves, as to the rest quack off like you know anything about my friends. The point being me and pretty much everyone I go to shows with are professionals that make 50k a year + and have important jobs as well. So for your dumbass to act like it is still the 90's is pretty ignorant. Hell have you even been to phish 3.0 show? 75% of the people there are 35+ and seem to be doing alright for themselves.
I mean you are not the only phan who grew up went to school and got a job dipshit.
Edit
Also my girlfriend is a Vandy professor, I am the computer pro on here. Nice to know that you think so little of the working man though we can't all be rich Connecticut lawyers.

I love how rapidly you get upset. It warms the cockles of my heart.
Or you know maybe just the first part of that word anyway. I am not particularly upset just pointing out that when your stereotypes are based in ignorance.

Maybe you should go point out the definitions of the words "satire," "parody," "humor," and "sarcasm" to yourself in the dictionary. Here we are after all these years and for whatever reason you still take me seriously, as if it was your first day on these boards.
I guess I missed the humor in someone trashing me and my friends career. I will say if that is your idea of funny you should stay away from a job in standup. Or are you saying that Phish fans are not spun out wooks and the first post was your attempt at humor? It can be pretty hard to tell with a sarcasm machine like yourself.
I skipped 2009 because Phish played twice, though Springsteen and the Beastie Boys werent exactly my idea of great headliners either. In retrospect, I still should have gone. If Phish plays next year, there really is no sense in them getting 2 time slots, give them 9-Midnight on Sunday, or an even longer What stage late night slot.
Also, Jess, start considering Juggs to be inforoo's own personal Yucko the Clown.
So he stands on an assembly line and watches pieces of metal roll by? Trippy, brah.
Actually, I am the Quality Assurance MANAGER, and I tell the guy, who watches the pieces of metal roll by, what to do!!! (There is more to my job and the techs that work for me than that!!)
In seriousness, I know all of the people Jess pointed out personally, and none of them would fit the Phish Wook sterotype, but they are all Phish Phanatics!!!!
Doesnt anyone else find it hilarious that these "inforoo" rants take place during all hours of their so called "work day"? Lets be serious, if your jobs were that important there isnt a chance you would be posting nonsense on here ALL DAY long.
Keep it up though because some of what Juggs is saying is hilarious/incredibly mean!
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Think about the vendor sales if Radiohead closes versus Phish. It would be smarter to put a band that will keep all the dudes there than all the wooks there since the dudes buy a shit ton of beer/merchandise and the wooks pillage for beer/merchandise.

I think Radiohead wouldn't close out Roo if they were there, clearly they are the Saturday night headliner. Also, there is room for Phish and Radiohead atop the bill.
I would rather not keep the "dudes" who buy and drink a ton of beer around. The drunken douche-baggery of the last 2 Roo's was at times hard to swallow. 2009 was my favorite Roo for a number of reasons but mainly it had to do with the crowd who were the friendliest, chillest crowd I have encountered at Roo or any other festival

Everyone keeps on saying how tired they are of a Sunday night Jam headliner. I guess they didn't mean it.

If it were up to me, I would have Allman's Friday, Phish >WSP Saturday LN What, Furthur Sunday. But we all know that MTV bought Bonnaroo years ago, so it's going to be Bieber, Beyonce and Keshit this year.
Rift is by far my favorite studio album, anything from a NYE run will be good, as well as the stuff from Dicks Arena recently. They actually did an entire show that was nothing but the songs that begin with the letter S there and it was a lot of fun. They had to dig deep in the catalog.

On topic, I would love for Phish to be there and close out Sunday. I missed '09 for my friend's graduation.
Would it be realistic for two of the three headliners next year to be "re-hashes" from earlier years?? Say if we had, Radiohead, Phish, and Foo Fighters/Coldplay/blah/blah/blah.....I don't know.

On a more important note, Phish should play all three nights for the next 15 years. If it werent for Phish, their structured festivals, and THEIR people putting together the first few Bonnaroos, people wouldnt be able to join in on all the PHun on the PHarm! Mike should hit you in the face with a heady bass line, BRAH!

Well it is the tenth anniversary I could see a couple of legacy headliners.
I am great with the idea of Phish playing 2 sets. It would be optimal if they were the LN on Friday and the closer on Sunday.
I mean, people don't have to like Phish (though why wouldn't they?), but it's not a ridiculous notion for them to play two sets. Jam bands are a big part of what sets Bonnaroo apart from Lolla and Coachella. And with Jerry dead, there isn't really a bigger jam band on the planet. Er, well, I guess DMB is bigger, but they aren't publicly attached to the title "jam band."
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
