First off, this is quacking awesome and I'm so excited. I've wanted to see Rammstein since 8th grade (1999), and I've never had the opportunity.
Having said that.. who the quack do they think they are? The prices they're going to be offering the tickets for are ridiculous Based off the few sites who have prices up, it's going to be $50 for upper bowl, $70+ for lower bowl, and $90+ for floor.
I really figured Rammstein to just barely be able to play arena level shows.
Do you think they'll sell tickets? I mean they're charging metallica-ish prices. These guys aren't quite legends, and they haven't had a hit in years. To be honest, as much as I love them I really didn't think they were relevant today.
I'm going to be there, and my even end up going for floor seats but poop... it doesn't feel right that I'm paying more money to see rammstein than I am to see Radiohead

Yeah but does Radiohead have lasers and enough pyro to scorch a city?? ;D That's what your ticket price is going towards, the production involved in a Rammstein show has gotta be enormous.
Before their show on Cinco De Mayo in Jersey. I was definitely in the same situation. I never saw these guys since '99 when they played with System of a Down and Slipknot. And for my buddy Dan'Roo who also went to the Jersey show, it was his first Rammstein show since '98 after Rammstein unfortunately got kicked off the stage during a Halloween show because the band decided to come on stage with duct tape on their no no parts and nothing else. They decided to play the show like this, it caused an uproar, rumors said there was a case of indecent exposure, and they were kicked off after only a couple of songs. It wasn't until after the Family Values Tour Tape was released that we found out why Rammstein did that in the first place. Apparently, they wanted to be Adam for Halloween. As in Adam and Eve, thus the whole lack of clothing part. It was a lil weird but we were so far from the stage that it wasn't noticeable. I just thought they were dudes without shirts.
Anyways, back to the original point. This show was quackin great! The setlist was great, the fire and production was awesome, the energy of the crowd was fun. Add the excited fanboy factor after a damn decade and I realized it was worth the $90 i paid for floor seats. Even with the added weight of Bonnaroo coming.

Du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt!
I don't know that Rammstein will pack the AAC in Dallas on May 22. Hell, they barely sold out Arcade Fire in a smaller venue (Gexa). But I will be there for that.
Its my first time seeing them. It started 15 min ago, and already this ranks pretty high. Catwalk lowered from the rafters, bridge over the floor pit, fires galore and fireworks.
Their show last Wednesday blew my MIND! And there was moshin' a plenty! Haven't done that in a long time.
LD, did they use the descendin' crosswalk to play a few songs on a mini-stage built by the soundboard in the middle of the set? Damn do I hope their recent tours here in America are profitable enough to make them come back sooner than later.
Yes. There was one song after Du Hast, then the crosswalk came down again between it and Buch Dich*. Was on that mini stage for a few songs, then went back across.
They made a crack at the end... thank you Worcester, hopefully we don't get arrested like last time. Looks like the WPD left them alone last night, even with that cannon at the end there.
I saw them on the first family values tour in '98 and they were awesome. I'd love to see them again, but couldn't justify taking off two days from work to see them in ATL. Plus tickets were like $80+...they must think they're on fuckin' Radiohead level now? jeez. Do they still do the fake weenie thing that squirts white goo/liquid all over the crowd? Till Lindemann almost hit us with a gotdamn flare from that crossbow thing...shit popped like 15-20ft in front of our faces and scared the poop out of us. I wish I could have seen them in '97 when they toured with KMFDM during their symbols tour. They played the Howlin' Wolf in nola...I can't even imagine how wild that show was.
The reason tickets are as expensive as they are is the sheer production value of their show, and I'm sure travel expenses factor in as well. And they've retired the small squirtin' dildo in favor of a giant penis cannon.
