You met T&E?!! I don't like you... only because my jealousy has me turning red.
yeah they did a screening in nyc a week ago with a q and a and a little meet and greet after. they were fucking hilarious and super nice. hoping they get to do something similar in the cinema tent, or an awesome tour type live show in the comedy tent. or both haha.

I was first introduced to Reggie Watts before he started doing the whole comedy thing. In 1996, Watts and 3 other musicians formed a hip-hop/funk/jazz rock group called Maktub. Between 1999 and 2007 they released 5 albums.
Some songs from this are:
and here's a Zeppelin cover:
Around 2002 was when Reggie started experimenting with a Line 6 DL4 delay modeler. This resulted in the beginning of his beat making and EDM style music, still no comedy though:
2004 was the year in which Reggie focused in on a solo comedic career. Unfortunately for you Volta, most of his comedy does revolve around the Line 6 DL4 delay modeler and his beat-boxing, but here are a few of his funnier bits that he's done for Conan:

once again, my yearly comedy request: they stop doing it. if they must, put comedians on the which and what stages between bands.
so you want them to stop doing it for what reason? if you dont want to see a comedy set nobody is forcing you to. having sets in the comedy tent doesnt effect you or any of the music being played. if anything it should help your music experience by thinning out the crowds a little, not to mention if theres an act you like, its a very nice hour or so escape from the heat.

Anthony Jeselnik just announced two shows in Milwaukee about a week before Bonnaroo. I know there's a number of musical artists who have come through town here in the days leading up to and following Roo, so hopefully he'll head on South afterwards.

Sound bleed.
While they would be doing stand up, there would be other bands on other stages playing music that would drown out their act. Sometimes it's hard enough to hear them while inside the comedy tent. Also, the comedy tent allows for seats while doing stand up in the hot Tennessee sun with a bunch of people standing and watching is not the right environment for comedy.

instead of the comedy tent, i would like that space and money being used on: 1. musicians, since it is a music festival. 2. art, since it supposedly is an art festival as well 3. grounds/facility upgrades 4. lower prices all around (you may say i'm a dreamer) 5. activities like the sonic forest put a dance tent in that area, like perry's stage at lolla. granted, there might be some sound bleed issues, but that's my general idea.
honestly, i don't think there would be any sound bleed issues if comedians are on the main stages. people speaking into the mics on the which and what aren't overwhelmed by music from the tents. chris rock seemed fine on the what stage, whatever year that was. lots of people sit in the grass and listen to the music, i think they can do it for the comedy as well.

So you hope that ticket prices would be lowered without bookin' comedians, but you also want the money used to pay them to be used on musicians, upgradin' the grounds/facilities, and/or art installations (this would include the Sonic Forest)? Sorry, but you are a dreamer. Ticket prices are never gonna go back down fer the festival. And you want a "dance tent?" I believe that the Silent Disco qualifies.
