Parquet Courts - Monastic Living edit. I didn't expect this to sound how it does AT ALL. A little experimentation is always a good thing, but I'm curious to hear what their followup full length will sound like with this ep in mind.
It's pretty noisey. It's not an awesome thing, but I don't exactly dislike it. I'm still bopping along.

So interesting side notes today - I just got this on LP recently and was getting set to put it on when I noticed it had a "side" that I haven't seen on CD or Spotify versions. I started looking up the history of the record when the Grammy nominations came out this morning. I stopped to look at them and was disappointed that Kamasi Washington got zero nominations for The Epic. Then went back to look up Gold and see that Kamasi Washington, as a 19 or 20 year old UCLA student, played saxophone on New York, New York and two other songs on the record. I might be the only person who finds all this interesting.

For those kids who jizz all over Lou Reed, New York Dolls and Velvet Underground, if you haven't listened to this, you're missing out on some real trailblazing shit.
