He's worth $75, IMO. And I rarely pay over $25-30 for a show.
I believe that. For most artists, I would have just said "no way" and let it go. It's not that I don't think he's worth that; it's more that I'm supposed to be trying to get better at handling my money and two tickets would be a pretty substantial part of my budget.
I was never very good at handling my money anyway. I'm going to see Beck in a few weeks!
Suggestion for a Christmas present record for someone that I don't really know their music tastes? I got him Blunderbuss a few years back, but I am not sure I got information on how he liked it. He mentioned to me that he likes older MMJ better than the new. After a conversation, I think he mostly likes the more rocking songs that MMJ has. That's really all I know My sister says he "likes everything." Suggestions?
Jason Isbell! Or The Last Waltz is always a good choice.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I had a friend once who claimed that a stereotype for white people should be that they love hummus. He claimed that all white people LOVE hummus. I've yet to find any evidence to the contrary.

My kid and my man are both anti hummas. I am pretty sure they are both white.

New Orleans is below the line in US geography that contains the population of white people this hummus rule applies to.

I've recently started using the Robinhood app and also Stash, and have become really interested in investing and buying stock. It's like my mind knows I'm turning 30 in a couple months and it's going into self preservation mode. If any of you have any basic investing tips, that would be great.

index ETF's are all the rage, and for good reason. They are like mutual funds (collections of shares of different companies/market sectors/market cap) but can be traded on exchanges. They are a good way to hedge because the come pre-diversified (vs buying individual stocks). look at fees, those are killer (and one major advatange of ETF over traditional mutual funds). Vanguard has some really great, lost cost options. These type of securtities are meant to be held medium to long term. don't worry about weekly or monthly fluctuations as much...think multiple years or decades. robinhood is a great brokerage because of their no-fee system. unless you want to be day-trading or have lots of time to spend researching, i would stay away from individual stocks because they can be more volatile and have more movement (which does make them attractive if you have the time/knowledge for analysis). I don't have that kind of time, so I just throw cash into about 5 or 6 different vanguard funds that cover a few different market sectors.
Just downloaded, in the waiting room there too. This is too much.
Good luck! I tried both the app and browser for Adele and was still in the waiting room on browser while I was buying tickets on the app this morning - have had much better luck on the app this year for some reason.

Tried to get Adele tickets for my mom for Christmas and had no luck. A ton of MSG shows and all had waiting rooms of 45min-1 hour and when I finally got through it said "No tickets available from venue" and then kindly points out you can still buy the gold/bronze package seats for $250 or $500. Oh well.

shit was crazy for the Atlanta shows. I saved the day and got tickets through the app. So now my sister, wife, mom, and two adorable nieces get to see Adele. Years of honing my TM skillz finally benefiting the ones I love the most.

I got shut out. Used the AXS app and browser. Oh well, can't win em all!
For some reason the LA dates used AXS instead of TM.
