This might be the Raiders year, if we can get McFadden back and his homerun capability on every play, limit our penalties and mental mistakes, we have a team that can make a run. This is the first time I've said that since '03. If not, the future is bright with Carson Palmer!
We have to get to the AFC Championship to make one of the picks a 1st rounder, not win a playoff game. Palmer is under contract for 4 more years, and he is only 31. He could concievably play until 38-40 if we're in the championship hunt. I am always gonna be a believer in the Raiders so I think if we can get a couple more pieces and maybe a better defensive coordinator we could rise to the top again!
BIG DAY. Since I gave my Jets ticket to my brother (part of his Xmas gift), I'm tailgating on my porch. Needless to say, I've already cracked my first beer.
I live in a completely Irish/European neighborhood. Seeing a bunch of mid-20-year-olds on the porch in lawn chairs with beers and laptops is confusing the sh!t out of them.
I'm going to the Titans game today... and if you know me at all, you are probably confused as hell. Free tickets! Also, I have no idea who they are playing. We're tailgating with beer and chicken fingers in the rain!!
Norv Turner is awful. I am a Jets fan. I have seen the worst coaches in NFL history. I am an expert on losers (Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers heyooooooo). Norv Turner is a loser. He let Mark Sanchez waltz into San Diego and beat him in the playoffs. He got lucky his first two years with a team geared to beat the Colts, but never made it past the next team. I say this fully expecting AJ Smith to keep his job despite being a major reason the Chargers can't win in January. CK, with a better coach and a GM who knows how to fill in the non-superstars the Chargers will be very, very good. So don't worry, if one bad season gets the crap out of San Diego before Rivers hits his peak, it's worth it.
Next!
The only thing that bothers me about the Eagles is the fact that the national media is not destroying them. As a Rex Ryan disciple, the fact that the "Dream Team" isn't getting dragged face-first through the mud is puzzling to me. So far this season the Jets have been trashed more by the NFL Network, ESPN and CBS experts than any team probably ever, and definitely this season. The worst 6-5 team to ever exist, and yet the 4-7 Dream Team barely gets discussed. I know Rex brings some of it on the team with his style and his brashness, but come on. If the 2009 Jets missed the playoffs, they'd still be fighting off the "loser" label.
Fantasy!
LD, may the best man win the final playoff spot. I think I'll upset Bacon, but I don't think you're losing to Ziggy. Win and you're in.
/end drunken rant/

The saddest part about being a Seahawk is they may end up with a better record than last year, but won't make the playoffs. That's almost as sad as having Tavaris Jackson as your QB for the future.
and oh look, RadioSpirit is getting throated by a RB going nuts for the second week in a row.
Eh, this week is pretty pointless now. Because I lost last break, there's no scenario that allows me to make the playoffs, since you have the tiebreaker.
I just have to hope to make some noise in the Loser's Bracket...
