They did a pretty decent job on the schedule last year. I would have had some big conflicts (as we always do), but the conflicts are between completely different genres.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
How fast are we thinking this will sell out? One of the promoters (Todd_coder) tweeted today to get them fast, but it's his job to hype it up like that.
man, low activity for ticket day......are yout In, Out or waiting on 'Roo?
I'm going in for the beach vacation with music fest vs. endurance test on the farm. (I am doing Wanee too though to get my jam fix.)
I plan on going to both again. The condo is booked. The lineup isn't what I was expecting but I think there is more than enough good stuff to have a great time. Plus, I can't complain about being on a beach with my friends.

Going to try to score the advance ticket prices today. Got the condo/rental car booked yesterday.
If you booked through one of their lodging partners you can reserve tickets with your condo. I booked through Meyer, and while they are out of the $159 tickets, I was able to add another ticket to my condo the other day at $194 with no extra fees. It's not much, but it will save you about $20/ticket in fees and you don't have to pay it off until you pay off the condo (usually 1 month b4 check-in).

I booked through high tide rentals. Don't think they're on the list, but thanks for the heads up.
I bought my tickets back when the early birds were released. I'd definitely get on it right away cause those early bird tickets, with no lineup even hinted at, were gone within a few hours. This fest is the organizer's ultimate dream because the environment in which it takes place is, in and of itself, a vacation. People go down to the gulf shores all the time just to get away.

Yeah, I checked the site out myself even tho I have tickets. It was about 2 minute wait until the ticket page loaded. Wasn't too bad...at least the site loaded. lol
The Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival The standby page is a virtual waiting room. DO NOT REFRESH. You will be processed in the order that you arrived at the page. 9 minutes ago

There's still $194 tickets available... tried again, now they're gone.
I can't believe shuttle passes are $40 now...it better be a flawless system this time for that price. I'm sure they'll use an "improved shuttle system" as the excuse to justify the doubling of the price for something people complained about the most last year.
whats the deal with late night, is that a separate ticket or something?
It was last year...they didn't go on sale until later down the road though.
Just checked...I got my late night tickets on April 1st last year for $25/each + fees. If I recall correctly, they didn't announce the late night shows until late March.

Late nights were separate last year. As bogus as it sounds, it's actually a rule mandated by the city council of Gulf Shores that the late night acts have to be at a "separate venue", from what I understand. So you actually leave and then re-enter another gate to get to the same tents you've been at all day. The process of leaving and re-entering went smoothly last year, but still a real pain to have to pay again. Tons of fun, though.
As to the shuttle tickets, last year we walked from our place, but we drove in one day and were very easily able to find a place back in the neighborhoods off of Hwy 182 (the road the festival is on) on the street or in big open parking lots to park. You could easily walk from there, ~ 10 min. No problems, no tickets. Could be different this year of course.

Yup, that's what I did last year. We tried to find a spot to park and ride the shuttle from Perdido Key and Orange Beach, but after not seeing a single shuttle or even a sign showing where to get picked up at, we drove down towards the fest and found spots easily each day. We parked on the side of the road on 2nd Ave just east of Hwy. 59. Check it out on google maps and look for the brown/grassy area. There was plenty of free parking to be had all up and down the side of that road.
