just got tickets for Run The Jewels, Father John Misty, and Chvrches all within three weeks of each other. To say I am excited is an understatement. The best part is that Chvches is going to be a surprise for my wife's birthday
Annnnnnnnnnnd I just freaked the fuck out. Deafheaven/Tribulation/Envy on Sunday the 8th. Yob & Black Cobra on Monday the 9th. November is now my second favorite month.
Same day here... ugh.
Also, Youth Code missing New England is disappointing.

In all fairness, I have to do 2 different cities to make this happen. If I had to choose, I'd go with YOB. They pretty much own everything live.

Yes and it's fucking amazing. Bring your dancin' shoes.
The last time I saw him the only thing he said the whole time was, "Hey guys, I'm gonna play some records. You guys should dance and make out and stuff." I feel like that's a pretty good description.

I had high expectations for Sufjan and after waiting in a downpour for an hour he still blew my expectations out of the water. It wasn't sad at all really, he pretty much played the hits. Probably cause it was a festival, but it was awesome

Wait, what festival did you just see him at? And that is odd because all the shows' setlists that I've looked at (even the festivals) were basically identical: he plays Carrie & Lowell all the wat through and then plays Chicago and maybe one or two other older songs

Woahhhhh, in November I'm seeing his first Florida show EVERRRR. So, the optimistic side of me is saying that it's certainly possible he changes it up from what he has been doing and he does something like the show you got. I'd love if he did a bunch of Illinois because that was the record that introduced me to him. The great part is that, no matter what he plays, I'm going to love it and I won't be surprised at all if I cry.

I think it might be because hes coming back to Denver for the actual C&L tour anyway. But yeah, Illinois is in my top 10 all time albums so I was happily surprised with what he played!

Oh, he didn't do the entirety of Carrie and Lowell? That's the shit that really made me cry; some of his other songs make me way emotional too (e.g Casimir, my god), but I've loved them for so long that finally seeing them live was just a moment of such joy. Some happy tears were shed when he played Concerning the UFO Sighting, without a doubt.
My favorite setlist of the three of his shows I went to this tour was probably the one in Durham: I mean, to get all of C&L, Casimir Pulaski Day, To Be Alone With You, Dress Looks Nice on You, Widows in Paradise, UFO Sighting, and Heirloom. And of course Chicago.

Yeah I don't know if it was because he knew everyone had been sitting in the rain freezing their asses off or he had already planned out the setlist but towards the beginning of the set he even asked the organizers "Can you give us a lot more light? We're trying to have a party." So I kinda figured we wouldn't get the same C&L setlist. And yeah I definitely enjoyed it
