It blows my mind that they still can't lock someone down a week before the lineup drops. My guess is they have secured Radiohead, Phish, RHCP and figure worst case, if everything else falls apart they have their top three. Knowing that they "at least" have that in the bag they can go out and try to pull off something special. If it works, it works; if it doesn't, it doesn't.
Watch the Throne or Daft Punk late nights after RHCP seems more likely to me than Waters, Prince etc. Also would fill the Big Hip Hop slot or the same for a major Electronic act. Either would be an upgrade in my opinion to the 2 Phish shows but still seems a little too good to be true.
except she clearly said a not so current act, which both of those are

Distraught about being replaced by Adam Lambert, Freddie Mercury has returned from the dead and they're our Satur4day headliner. the proper time to relay this news is being calculated
Are we getting a big mystery Saturday act? Tuesday is going to be beautiful,
It hurts my head to see vets posting outlandish things like Beatles Prince and Roger Waters..
I agree, but I still do not see RHCP in a LN What situation.Seems like a weird fit. Beach Boys obviously wouldn't be. Maaaaaaaaybe Graceland but i doubt it.
The answer could just be they are doing 2 Which late nights this year but it would be a little strange to not do one on the main stage.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Friday-Florence + the Machine, Jack White, Radiohead (HL) Saturday- The Roots, The Beach Boys, RHCP (HL) Sunday- Rodrigo Y Gabriela, The Avett Brothers, Phish (HL)

Maybe RHCP opens for the bigger name (assuming there is a bigger name)?
The ONLY reason I'm thinking it isn't Beach Boys or Paul Simon is because she didn't list a headliner for Saturday when she gave us the day-by-day schedule. Still, that's a lot easier to explain then, say, Roger Waters traveling across the country in one day.
PLUS, why is everyone ignoring the fact that she said HASN'T been worked out???? Meaning that whoever this mystery name is, there is still a decent chance it could not end up on the lineup.
