Also, is Juggs really a republican or a joke republican? For whatever reason, I always assumed he was liberal.
He's seems like a person who uses his brain and agrees with both groups on a few different issues and doesn't force himself to one side on every issue just to fit in with a label.
edit: that sounded kind of mean towards you rosko, didn't mean it that way. I just hate when people are die hard "liberal" or "conservative," kind of a peeve of mine.
Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. I'm more or less that way as well.

a couple of weeks ago this thread would only advance several pages in half a work day by insider coming or something big happening. Now anything can cause like 6 pages of arguing. I have to stop getting my hopes up that insider returned every time I see a bunch of new pages

With Ron Paul people concentrate way too much on little good things like more liberties and not nearly enough on his insane policies. How can you support a guy who essentialy doesnt believe in taxes, foreign policy, or any government aid whatsoever
Unacceptable: "I disagree with d*ck cheney's political beliefs"
Acceptable: "Dude, I just bought an eighth of heady corn. I'm gonna smoke some kernels of the corn in my corncob pipe, and listen to my favorite band, a*** c***"
Ron Paul's policies are bat shit crazy. But I will give him one thing; he beleives in such small government that his policies would balance the budget and end the defecit within 4 years. I think the country can live with 4 crappy years in exchange for getting back on the right path economically. I just worry about a terrorist attack because of his isolationist foreign policy or really any of his ideas becoming permanent.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Gary Johnsons a much better candidate. Unfortunately people just eat up what they're force fed and many don't even know who he is... even though he was governor of New Mexico for 8 years. I mean, even Gary has some ideals which I disagree on, he is running Libertarian after all, which has some great ideals but also has some ridiculous attributes (such as the points you made about ron paul) But GJ wants to end the war on NO NO WORD!!! pull our country out of war, legalize gay marriage, and even with his libertarian attitude of cutting spending costs, he raised eduction spending in his second term as New Mexicos governor. The way I see it, he's a constitutionalist who isn't too stubborn to realize that spending (on eduction for example) is sometimes necessary. Apologies if I went overboard, and I'm not saying he's the end all be all of presidential candidates, I just think he's the best I've seen in a while. Sorry for derailing this thread any further.

Actually to be fair I have always backed you up there. I am not really a republican, but I have always felt that rules are there to make you think before you break them. Once you decide to break a rule you need to be prepared for the consequences of doing so. Flaunting the fact you are breaking rules in authority's face may win you several points on style, but you lose a lot more for lack of common sense.
Oh, I know you're with me on that. I just like that whenever some proto-hippie dickbag rolls in here on June 13th and starts crying about how his totes heady nugs got taken away by the narcs at Roo and how it's unfair and how it's a police state, blah blah blah uninformed liberal nonsense, I'm going to be all "even the original faux-hippie Wolfman Jess agrees with me! WHERE'S YOUR MESSIAH NOW???" And then cackle maniacally.
its funny, even PT, the center of contemporary proto-hippiedom, has become more aware in this sense. in quite a few posts when someone is railing about their buddy getting busted because of breaking rule x with sustance y, several posters will say, "sorry man should have been smarter, shouldn't have broken the law, should have been discreet, what did you expect the cop to do when he saw you..." etc.
i think its just the fanbase getting older and realizing there is a right way to party (safely and discreetly) and a wrong way.
Just dropping some knowledge on the board is all, not a lot of people actually know the meaning of gadfly.
Well in that case, here's a list of fictional robots and androids that appear in Manga (Japanese Comics)

Also, I don't like to label myself either, but anyone who would vote for one of these Republicans is bat sh*t crazy.
In all fairness not all Republicans are bat shit crazy.
Colin Powell, John McCain (prior to 2008), Lincoln Chafee, Scott Brown, Lisa Murkowski, Olympa Snow, William Weld, George Pataki, Christie Todd Whitman, Jon Huntsman, Charlie Crist, Michael Bloomberg, Chuck Hagel, ect. Are all very reasonable rational members of the party. Just none of them can win national office without playcating to the extreme right.
