A basic amount of human courtesy/decency is all that's required to not screw someone else over, and you guys use a really shoddy this is how it's like in the real world argument?
Because he has MONEY and you're POOR, NoD! HE'S MORE ENTITLED TO HAVE NICE SHIT THAN YOU ARE.
I think your situation is different with the parking. It's not like you're really screwing anybody else out of a spot. You're not going in the other lane cutting ahead of thousands of cars.
You know how they have those ”fast passes” at amusement parks. Same difference. If you are willing to spend the money, you can always make things better for yourself, in every situation.

Those are set up by the amusement park to cut down on lines, and people have to get those in advance.
This is a situation where someone is bribing an authority figure to cut ahead of multiple people.

I have been shut out of the pit for one of my favorite bands because of people who don't care about others. I waited through Jack Johnson (I deserve something for that!!) to get into the pit for Pearl Jam and as soon as the gate opened, a bunch of people literally pushed their way into the pit area. I have learned from my mistake and it hasn't happened since, but there have been other problems with the system and at times, we feared for our own personal safety, again because of a group of people who think they deserve a good spot without waiting like everyone else. This is the mindset that makes me hate human beings in general. The world is FULL of these people, and one of the reasons I started going to Bonnaroo was to spend a weekend in an environment where the chances of having a run-in with this mindset are much lower than in the real world. I THINK this is what is trying to be conveyed by several people here: Simply that if people thought about others once in a while, the entire world would be a nicer place to be.
Oh and that karma's a bitch and it will get you...and then you'll be on a message board whining about why stuff like this happens to "good people"

If I was on the Titanic as it was sinking I totally would have paid off a crew member to let me on one of those life boats. Obviously you would've drowned to death because you don't want to inconvenience somebody else. Paying an authority figure to bend the rules in order to get ahead is a time honored tradition, its shady as hell, but there is nothing wrong with it.
Stealing is wrong, killing is wrong, using money to better your situation is never wrong.
Wow, I can really pick days to get incredibly busy at work and not be on inforoo for an entire day.
Look, I get both sides of the whole pit/bribe thing. If it's a one-time "this is my favorite band/performer ever, I can't NOT try to stay in", I get that. But if he's doing it just so he can be in the pit all day because it's cool, than that's a dickish thing to do.
I kind of hope Drake headlines so instead of complaining about wooks, thugs, or white trash, people will complain about over-lotioned pop-thugs (is there an actual term for a "thug" that wears skinny jeans? I just call them idiots, but I use that term too often to apply to just that group of idiots). "Do you see that kid wearing the $100 Nike pump high-tops, skinny jeans, and fake gold chains? HE RUINED MY BONNAROO!!"
None of this post went together, I didn't even try to make it flow. Whatever.

Did you just compare getting a better spot at a concert to surviving a shipwreck or not?
Its still in essence the same. You are paying money to skip people in the line.
Plus how do you figure juggs doesn't screw someone over. There is at least one vehicle, that would, have gotten in the better pod, but isn't because Juggs payed for his spot.
We need to hate the individual who made the original bribe. They started this mess, now people assume others will play the game, so they play, as to not be left out. The perceived game is now the problem. Who can we pin this on?
So, how is describing that my friends got screwed over by people at roo, not relevant to my point that roo is real life and real life isn't fair? You aren't making any sense.
Whatever, my final post on this subject. I don't see anything wrong with what he did. If anyone is to blame, its the security guard. I would've said hell no to 20, and asked for 100.
Because the point never was that roo is real life and real life isn't fair. The point was you don't have to treat it that way.
