There is a girl. She goes by the name Tellaroo. Back in the Winter of 07 I would read her threads, replys, comments, and sarcastic jokes on the Bonnaroo forum, on myspace, as well as Inforoo. She was witty, smart, and had great taste in music (don't we all!!!). She was also around my age and had many of the same passions and life expierences as I do. I wrote her an email, stating just all that, and said I'd love to shoot the sheeeet when it comes to Roo and perhaps learn more about her and her surroundings, since I' lived in Detroit, and she was from the colorful music city that is NAwlins!!!
After a few short months of phone conversation, emails and the occasional IM...we hit it off. We love to talk and share stories as well as talk about the anticipation that was building for this years Roo.
This was her second roo in a row, and my sixth in a row! We both looked forward to the Kings of Leon, The Roots, Wilco, and the White Stripes the most. We were even planning on meeting up just to meet and perhaps catch a show. No expectations, considering we were both crazy about music...and that was the number one priority for both of us while in Manchester.
A friend of mine who I met while camping at roo 06 still stayed in touch with me. He drives truck all over the US and goes by the name MOONDOG. He is a Bonnaroo myspace allstar and one hell of a guy! He was planning on going to Jazzfest, and had talked to Tellaroo about meeting up with her in N.O. and hanging out. I was jealous considering I would love to attend Jazzfest, as well as I' would love to meet my new internet roo friend.
Moondog left and had a great time. He meet up with her and her friends and they all enjoyed Jazzfest.
BUT WHILE AT HER HOUSE, HE NOTICED A PICTURE ON HER COFFEE TABLE, WALL AND IN HER ROOM.
It was a picture of her and her friends at roo 06'...
BUT WAIT, "Thats JUSTIN"
Moondog spotted me in the back...and not in the far back....This picture was her five friends and ME. WOW....
So, to recap...This girl who I just started talking to online this past winter, has a picture of her friends and ME on her desk, coffee table..etc... yet we have never met, and now ....well could it be...
DESTINy??? (Check out the picture @ www.myspace.com/owensjustin) Thats me in the bandana, that is her in front with glasses.
I'm a realistic guy, and although I knew this girl was kick ass, I wasn't gonna let this weird coincidence of a picture make me all gaga gaga.
BUt what are the chances i begin talking to a girl online, that in the past has a taken a picture of roo with me walking right by at the right moment...two seconds later and I'm behind her friends head, shutter speed etc... JESUS its odd and creepy.
fast forward to JUne!!!!
We meet at Bonnaroo 2007 on Wednesday Night at Holiday Inn. Her friends are going VIP, as well as mine.
I still remember turning the hotel hallway corner and dropping my jaw. Here I was the last few months playing my crush on her off...and now I'll i could think was.... 'I'm just a boy compared to that drop dead gorgeous girl standing in front of you....HELLO>...SAY SOMETHING."
I'm a pretty social guy, and I' was speechless. I'd seen countless pictures, spent hours on the phone with her. but nothing could prepare me for the thump in my heart the moment i saw her.
I'm addicted to Bonnaroo. I've been every year, running from stage to stage catching half shows, encores, autographs.....
This year was my best Bonnaroo yet, and I'll I did was.....
hold the hand of the most beautiful girl for five days!
We enjoyed ourselves catching all the bands we intended to catch, and compromising on the rest (WHAT ME COMPROMISING MY MUSIC AT ROO>>>>>NO WAY) But I did, and I did with a smile on my face, and that same thump in my heart.
My name is Justin, I'm a six year roo vet, I go by the name Suitcase Murphy on these boards and I have over 200 live sets from all the roos. Roo gives me up and recharges my soul,
But most importantly, Roo gave me my soul mate.
I move to New Orleans Oct. 1st where I start my life with my girlfriend. She is amazing and I'm very fortunate to have met her. And I have roo and all of you to thank. All of you, the music, our discussions, ...it has all inspired me to smile, and be a better person. And without the inspiration of ROO, I wouldn't of stuck around so much, checking thsis site daily, a million times. Downloading every note that comes from that farm... without all of this, I wouldn't be so happy....
And god damn I'm I happy.
Not only did a meet a women who challenges me and makes me want to be a better person. I found a soul mate to share and walk through life with. The same life I always pictured, now with double the passion and love.
I ALSO GET TO experience MUTHA FiCKIN NAWLINS...
so if your in the area, look me up...voodoo fest, countless hours at new places for me like Tipitinas, house of blues. le republic..etc, etc etc..
I'll be living in Houma, just south of N.O, with the biggest smile on my face. I'll be the young man who looks very content!
I don't know, that's it...my story...my life changing roo experience.
Thanks for listening and sharing the immaculate power that is ROO.

Such a great story
I know how it feels to meet someone online and get to know them that way, then finally meet them in person and find out that it is 100 times better than you thought it would be. I met my fiance online 5 years ago, took us a year before we actually met and we are getting married next year.
I hope your love story turns out as wonderfully as mine has
Ooh, how sweet! ;D I love happy endings! Good luck you guys!!
Maybe we'll see you guys at VooDoo Fest! Come check out InfoVooDoo to check out the Inforoo peeps who are coming to do the VooDoo in NOLA.... voodoomod.proboards66.com/index.cgi
I have to comment and tell you all how much I really Love this guy..he is so amazing, as you can see, my days are brighter!
I could never compete with his version of our story, so beautifully written, but I can say this...ALL of my life I have looked to be inspired, in doing so I have believed in a happiness that was mine (ours) and it would be simple, Divine, and pure, I have that...but I have more than I imagined...I have a brighter world..(or is it the NOLA summer...j/k)....I really have found my soul-mate and I am the happiest I have ever been.

That is, without a doubt, the coolest thing I've ever heard! Congratufuckinglations!
I'm not much for the idea of fate but, sometimes it's presence is undeniable. A great woman? In New Orleans? I said god*amn! Add in the incredible Bonnaroo coincidence, and you're left with the overwhelming feeling that this must be meant to be!
I unknowingly lived (directly) downstairs from Hilari for months, while working everyday with her roommate before I ever figured it out.I met her and thought she was a lesbian and that our friendship was totally platonic. 7 years later and we are still in love! Life is strange and mysterious but, sometimes it all works out perfectly!
Again, congratulations! Good Luck! And Booyah, my friend!

I'm touched. Best of luck to the both of you, but it sounds like you don't need it.
My husband and I met at work and one day went grocery shopping together after work as some sort of pseudo-date... It just felt natural and right to shop for stuff with him... I don't know how to explain it. We've been together for 8 years now. You guys are in for an amazing journey, and it's wonderful.
Karma to a young man who couldn't help but scream his love from the (inforoo) mountaintops!
Roo friends I didnt think i could fall in love any deeper....but every comment each of you make gives me a spiritual boost...I love it...and him...you guys F'n rock....and so does my new journey in life...i am the most greatful woman you know!
share it, pass it, tell it.....but most of all BELIEVE IT...and never give up on yourself, cause that's where it starts!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
