Good timing for the bump, after waiting 1.5 months I finally got my copy of Lisbon from the library ;D. I've only heard Juveniles and Blue as your Blood so I'm excite.

I havent been able to get into Lisbon. I have given it a couple tries but nothing sticks with me. I want to see their show still so what else should i try?

You & Me is very good but honestly if you want to see the show, take the risk and go. This band is great live, you won't be disappointed.

Dig what I've seen in the videos, will see them on Thursday. To me it seems that Thursday isn't as strong as it has been in recent years.
i disagree a little bit. deerhunter is probably one of the highest billed bands to play thursday ever. the walkmen are a close second.
and pretty big bands in sleigh bells, best coast and wavves. all of which sell out shows everywhere.
for the indie rock scene anyway it's a huge night.
That may be. But for my tastes there's really not much to see on thursday. Only bands I care about are freelance whales and beats antique. I'll have to start doing some research on the others that are playing.

I love Thursday this year. So much good stuff. Dam-Funk, J. Cole, School of Seven Bells, The Knux, Twin Shadow, not to mention The Walkmen. Still not sure how I will divide my time between them and Twin Shadow.

I'm loving Thursday as well, it's a pretty stacked day for me! They haven't been playing it for a while, but I'd love it if they busted out The North Pole. What a great tune.

Both put on a great show, but I'd say see The Walkmen. Twin Shadow are a lot of fun live, but there's gonna be plenty of chances to see them in the near future. I doubt The Walkmen will tour Lisbon past this year (they only have a handful of festival dates after Roo).

Well at worst you get to see 30 minutes of either. My original plan was to see each for about 45 minutes, but depending on how much I'm digging The Walkmen, I could end up staying the whole time.

^Super bummer, dude. I loved Thursday last year (highlights: Neon Indian, Local Natives, and The xx) and it's looking like I'm gonna love it again this year. Think I'm gonna focus on seeing all of The Walkmen since Twin Shadow is at Pitchfork Fest and Hopscotch and I'm going to both of those.

Yeah I'm pretty bummed. I'll see Twin Shadow at Pitchfork, too, but I won't get to see The Walkmen. I missed them in Asheville in Feb figuring I could see them at Bonnaroo.
Thursdays are always some of my favorites. Last year was great, I remember watching that set of bands, too. In 08 I remember Battles and MGMT being awesome and making fun of how much I was hating the Vampire Weekend show. I love Thursdays!
Another conflict for me, I really wanted to see these guys but I have been dying to see Sleigh Bells for some time, damn
I've seen both and I can honestly say without a doubt SEE THE WALKMEN. I wasn't too impressed with Sleigh Bells when I saw them open for LCD, back in Oct. The chance at hearing new songs does intrigue me though. But with that new records comes a tour and I'll miss them again for The Walkmen, who were amazing when I saw them. glennron posted a great video on the first page of this thread:
Edited to add this awesome video. How cool is the drummer?
Three of the guys used to be in Jonathan Fire*Eater whom I was completely obsessed with in the late 90's. Matt Barrick, the drummer, is one of the best I've ever seen.

Aside from Sunday night, this is easily my biggest conflict too. As GL pointed out though, you'll have plenty of opportunities to see Sleigh Bells in the future I'm sure. They've pretty much been constantly touring since Treats came out, so I'm sure when the new album drops it'll be more of the same. You might have to wait another couple years for The Walkmen to tour in the US. That said, Sleigh Bells will probably be a really high energy show, so you can't really go wrong with either. I just know I'll be getting a good spot for this since a lot of people will be at Sleigh Bells
and i'm not very good at guessing when/where artists will play at bonnaroo. but i would like to be able to stay at one tent, and just continue to work my way up to the front throughout the night. i could go for some DEER TICK>BEST COAST>THE WALKMEN>DEERHUNTER
