I'm ok with being in the back half of the crowd for Arcade Fire. So, I will watch all of MMJ, then as much of Primus as I can, then back for AF's show.

I am so happy about the Primus slot. when i saw they didn't have a late night i was disappointed because i thought they would have a daytime set. This slot is awesome almost completely unopposed and they'll have the lights and projections because it will be dark out. SWEET!

My thoughts on this thread first off Primus Sux!! But in a good way first headlining band that I ever saw at a festie when my addiction was in it's infancy. They headlined the first Lollapaloza I saw way back in 1993! That is a longstanding addiction!! They were awesome! Pork Soda had just come out and I got introduced to Les playing his bad ass upright bass. Notable highlights of that festie were Rage Against The Machine and Tool playing on the second stage as they did not have albums or videos out at the time nationaly. The Jim Rose Circus in between Rage, and Tool sets. And the original Alice In Chains opened up for Primus that night! Very very memorable!! I feel bad for saying this but I did have to skip Les Claypool last year. If I remember the conflict correctly it was him vs. Tenacious D vs. Tori Amos. I owed my friend Jason going to the Tori Amos show as he stood with me in a back alley in Nashville at The Ryman and let me get autographs from Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals one night and he got home late and his wife was mad at him after we drove back to Kentucky hours after we should have been home. He is a huge Tori Amos fan and was wanting to try and get her autograph. He had all of her fan club newspapers and Vinyl records in his backpack. Sadly we did not get those she took off after the show. A pity to we were in the front row and I had a light up t-shirt on. Epic Fail!! But I digress I skipped Les glad to see I am getting some Karma for trying to pay some back!! Would ten times rather see Primus then Les solo. Especially if Tim Alexander is going to be the drummer as I have seen A Perfect Circle a couple of times he can and will bring the bang to the drums!! Does anybody know if he will be drumming? I will look in on this and report back now that the subject has been brought up! All I can say is this thread Sux! and so does everyone at the Primus show And I mean that in a good way!!
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
Can some one please explain "Primus Sux" I feel like it's a compliment or something. BTW my husband loves Primus and I thought I couldn't get into it at first but I didn't give up and I have to say I am pretty stoked about seeing them. We saw Les in '08's Roo(our Bonna-honeymoon) and I thought it was wicked.

It appears Tim Alexander will not be touring with them at first glance around hopefully this will change but then I thought SHIT A Perfect Circle is touring as well this summer.

All I know. Les Claypool's set was one of the best sets I saw last year. So, there is no way I'm missing this set. Not even for MMJ. I'll catch an hour of their show and head to Primus.

It is the band Primus' slogan, meaning that you would say it if you really like primus. they got sick of the slogan after awhile but some people still say it because it's a great slogan, so if you see someone post a comment on a youtube video of primus and they say primus sucks give them an E-high five. WRONG! Fan: Primus sucks! noob primus fan: dood primus doesnt suck fuck u
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Primus had their original drummer Jay Lane with them on Tuesday in Raleigh, which was an awesome, awesome show. Glad I got it out of my system so I can focus on MMJ, but I wouldn't be surprised to find myself drifting over to see them again.
Originally I was pissed Lil Wayne got the LN Which slot instead of them. But, considering they come onstage at 9:15, it'll already be dark - glowsticks, lights and other shit will all be out for this set, so it's good enough as LN for me.
