If you go to Bonnaroo for the comedy acts you are really missing the point.
I always hit up at least ONE comedy show....sometimes more if the schedule/line works out. It's a great little break. sit in a nice chair for some laughs.
That said.......I'd love to see Louie CK come back, maybe Patton Oswalt and Reggie Watts too.

One of my friends that goes with me every year only goes because of the comedy. He could care less about the music. He actually gets bored watching bands play.

It's just logistiscs that the comedians come later. It's easier to book 1 guy and mic than 3+ people with loads of lights and gear. You don't put on the vegetables at the same time as the meat.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
how long did it take for the comedians to get added after the initial lineup release?
Last year seemed quicker than usual. Only a couple weeks after the initial line-up I believe. That probably had more to do with Conan being there, as he probably increased ticket sales exponentially. My guess is first week of March this year
My gf is really interested by the lineup but the comedy would probably put her over the edge and get her goin with me. It's sort of an icing on the cake thing.

The best comedian I ever saw at Bonnaroo was Zach Galifianakis...I just hope and pray they NEVER bring Janeane Garofalo back to the farm....just simply not funny.

I think Daniel Tosh or Louis C.K. will be the top act for comedy, if we don't get someone in Conan's spot (tough to fill), maybe we get both. Last year, there was five different comedy shows (Margaret Cho's, Ross Roasts Bonnaroo, Conan, Aziz, and Bo Burnham). Last year, it was a pretty similar number. I would love if it is Tosh, Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, Tim Minchin, and Reggie Watts.
I never remember them making a point to say that they have a "Full Comedy Lineup" coming. It makes me think that maybe we have something pretty big coming. Chappelle.

Chappelle would indeed be a huge addition. He'd have to put on a bunch of shows so people would actually get a chance to see him. I think Tosh/Louis are very likely and I would be verrrry happy with either. Been a fan of both before they were ever big and I can't believe how much they've both achieved in so short a time. The BEP of comedy would obviously be Dane Cook.

I have a buddy who works for a sports/entertainment group and saw the contract for Nick Swardson to be at Roo. Not such a big deal for me, though I love Grandma's Boy. Hope y'all enjoy him while I'm taking in the tunes.

Awesome thanks for the confirm. That's really great. He may be the big comedy name this year.

Knowing Nick will be there makes me really happy. I hope the comedy lineup is similar to the music lineup in that we'll see a lot of people returning. Hoping for Zach Galifianakis, David Cross, and Garfunkel and Oates.
