Love, love, love the line-up, even Eminem!! There are so many I want to see. There are some bands I don't know but I have plenty of time to discover some new music beforehand.
speaking of MMJ...didn't they do latenight on Friday in 06 as well? after Tom Petty i believe. so there's no reason to think they wouldn't do another one. i guess i just can't picture them in a pre-headlining spot after two late night appearances already.
I think your post actually helps my argument a little. They've already had a few late nights so more likely they give it to someone else.
I do hope they get What stage late night though. That would be ideal.
I'm a city slicker from the Chicago suburbs, and I was hoping to go down to my first Roo if the lineup panned out nicely. I think I will wait and see for Lollaplooza's lineup to drop before I commit to going down. M&M and Arcade Fire look to be headed to Lolla also, so I was hoping for something unique with the headliners. Maybe I'll have to listen to some MMJ and/or Buffalo Springfield to see I dig them. I'm used to knowing most of the artists in a lineup, but I'm too familar with the top headliners. I'm a noob, I know, lol.
I've heard that the walks are really long to get to Centeroo. I'm conflicted about whether this roo would be better than lolla considering I can get almost to the front of any stage at Lolla without camping out.
So torn....
I really doubt Arcade Fire would be back at Lolla so soon after headlining last year and with their two headlining shows at UIC pavilion. Lolla front of stage is a clusterquack compared to Bonnaroo. Double-Gate system for life!

This is easily my favorite lineup of all the festivals. I like so many bands and am so excited for all the ones i'm just starting to get into (Arcade Fire, Strokes, etc.)
What really gets me going is this on the SuperJam page: "We are looking to make this year very special and are concentrating on the SuperJam / collaboration aspect of the festival. The following have been confirmed, look for special guests, sit ins and more!" So, I feel like you have to look BEYOND the lineup for potential. I'm sure Jim James will sit in Preservation Hall again. Jack White will probably be everywhere all weekend even if his name's not explicitly on the poster.

I was really hoping Dispatch would show up for this since they have a break in their tour and are playing Chicago on Wednesday right before Bonnaroo and that is the only weekday show initially announced. Maybe they will be an add too.....?
Overall, I am pleased and will definitely be going. BUT, the electronic acts are STALE with the exception of Ratatat. Bonnaroo better come strong with some additions or at least some Lunar Stage acts because we've got recycled goods here in the electronic department.

That's true, I really didn't think about that. So your saying you can get pretty close to the stages at roo? Last year midday at Lolla I walked right up to Mavis Staples and was able to say hello. Also, what is the Double-Gate system?

or warren haynes. I swear during the fest he just walks around with his guitar waiting to be invited to play with people.
