There are so many acts in the middle/middle-upper tier I"m pumped about I'm sure I'm going to be disappointed when the schedule comes out.
Then again when the only band I'm really kinda disappointed isn't there that I realistically thought would've been (Fleet Foxes) I can't complain about anything.

from jambands.com:
Eminem, Arcade Fire, Widespread Panic, The Black Keys, Buffalo Springfield and My Morning Jacket will lead the 10th annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. The multi-band event returns to Manchester, TN from June 9-12, 2011. While this year’s Bonnaroo will showcase numerous emerging indie rock, jamband, hip-hop and electronic musicians, the festival will also look back on its own history by presenting return appearances by many classic Bonnaroo performers. Most notably, jamband hero Widespread Panic—the first band booked at the first Bonnaroo—will return to the festival after a two year absence. Panic has headlined Bonnaroo more than any other group with two headlining slots in both 2002 and 2005 as well as single-set plays in 2003, 2007 and 2008.
“Widespread Panic really should get credit—they are the first band that said yes that first year,” says Ashley Capps whose Nashville-based company AC Entertainment promotes Bonnaroo along with New York City-based Superfly. “They said, ‘We think this festival is a really crazy idea but we will participate’—they are a really integral part of what Bonnaroo is and we’re excited to have them back for our 10th year and also their 25th anniversary.”
A first time Bonnaroo performer, Eminem is touring in support of his chart-topping comeback album Recovery, which was released last June. Eminem—who rarely plays festivals—is the latest in a series of hip hop Bonnaroo headliners like Jay-Z and the Beastie Boys.
Arcade Fire—one of a handful of groups to move from clubs to arenas with the help of the modern festival circuit—will also make its first Bonnaroo appearance. The group’s 2010 album The Suburbs recently took home Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. Bonnaroo also boasts Buffalo Springfield’s only 2011 festival appearance. The recently reunited group’s current lineup includes 2003 Bonnaroo headliner Neil Young, as well as Richie Furay, Stephen Stills, Rick Rosas and Joe Vitale.
so excited.
this is the top of the card that i've ben dreaming of

im just really sad as my chances of getting laid are now 0% because no girls are going to go to a festival who has such misogynistic music as Eminem and Lil Wayne. No girls listen to them... Oh wait
i feel like its 09 all over again, if i wanted it its there, and more
I really love this lineup. I feel like there is less this year that I haven't seen live and there are also less artists I've not heard of, but I think that just goes along with being a Bonnaroovian and Inforooster for a few years. Biggest letdown: No Roots, Biggest wins: MMJ, Primus, Portugal

As a first time roo-er that has been reading these boards for the past few months...I am pretty bummed that they didn't come up with anything more exciting than what everyone already thought. Also...I'm annoyed that I'll be at 2 festivals that will have Lil Wayne, Girl Talk, Wiz Khalifa and Chiddy Bang. No part of me wants to see any of them and they will be wasting precious stage time.
Also...last year had some better alt-rock bands that I'm into like Circa Survive/Rise Against. I was hoping for a little of that too....maybe late additions...
One thing I really want to know about that I haven't heard anyone mention is the listing of Del McCoury Band AND The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Del McCoury killed it in '09 and Preservation Hall killed it at Newport last year. So much so I didn't mind missing the Avetts. Are they going to play TOGETHER? That'll be WILD.

Would really like to see added:
Massive Attack Wilco Fleet Foxes Cee-lo Daedmau5
However, overall, this is probably the strongest over-all line-up ever (unless you love Phish and consider 2009 the strongest). The upper tier acts are high quality and numerous. Bonnaroo really did pull out the stops on this one. Great Job, AC.
Meh. It will probably be a good time, but I think I'll save my cash on a lineup with more draw for me than Buffalo Springfield, Arcade Fire and The Strokes.
I give it a 7.
