Ok heres my conspiracy theory. Anyone ever heard of Capleton? I hadnt until i started researching this clue.
1. "From one BoRe to another" -TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA: When Capleton first arrived on the scene in the late 1980s, slackness and gun talk were the dominant lyrics in the dancehalls. ---> BoRe could be a reference to gun talk.
2. "a war rages amongst champions." - TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA - However, Capleton has continued to sing songs that some claim violate the RCA, causing the cancellation of a concert in Switzerland in 2008 and a United States tour in 2010,[11][12] and as of late 2010 the Stop the Murder Music campaign is continuing to have some success in canceling Capleton gigs. <--- could mean the ongoing battle between himself and the RCA.
3. "We're calling for divine intervention" - TAKEN FROM WIKIPEDIA - He is sometimes referred to as "The Prophet" and he is known for his Rastafari movement views expressed in his songs
This is the first clue I've ever looked into. Could just be coincidence but the pieces seem to fit.
Blackstar doesn't really make any sense to me. Brooklyn is BK not BR, and the champions part is way to broad to say it's them. This is probably the hardest clue yet, though the Queen reference seemed to fit in really well. Queen did just drop their label and are also rumored to start touring this year, and they're celebrating an anniversary as well.
I believe the answer to this clue is Black Star and here is why.
Though Brooklyn's initials are BK, the capitalized B and R could stand for Brooklyn Raised or Brooklyn Resident or Brooklyn Rapper. "From one BoRe to another.." could refer to one Brooklyn rapper to another..
Black Star, which is a hip-hop group formed by rappers Mos Def and Talib Kweli, also has a song called "Born & Raised" which describes life growing up in Brooklyn. The B and R could also represent the title of the song.
As has been said before, "a war rages amongst champions.." can definitely represent the rivalry between the two very well-known Brooklyn rappers.
On another note, the same quote can be taken very differently. Black Star's self-titled album speaks mainly about the violence and negativity associated with Rap music today. "A war rages amongst champions.." does not necessarily have to be a war or rivalry between Mos Def and Talib; it could represent the war amongst all rappers.
Rap is commonly associated with gang violence and rivalries among rappers. The Black Star album came out shortly after Biggie and Tupac had been killed due to gang violence in the rap industry, and Mos Def and Talib even mention the two murdered rappers in their first single, "Definition." The lyrics are below.
One two three, Mos Def and Talib Kweli. We came to rock it on to the tip top, best alliance in hip hop, Y-O. I said, one two three, it's kinda dangerous to be a MC. They shot 2Pac and Biggie, Too much violence in hip hop, Y-O.
The word bore, is another word for gauge or caliber when used as a noun. Bore diameter is the measurement used to determine what size ammunition a gun uses based on it's barrel size. Many guns in urban slang are called by their caliber/bore size (.22 Caliber, Colt .45 meaning .45 caliber). Gary said in a hint about the clue, "The BoRe is a thing, commonly heard in urban slang. It'll bore a hole." - A gunshot would create a hole in an object or person. Guns are often talked about in urban slang..
Continuing on, Tupac and Biggie were both killed by drive-by shootings, which again involves guns. "From one BoRe to another," can also mean from one gunshot/shooting to another. The B & R can be tied into this because like Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Biggie and Tupac are both Brooklyn Rappers as well - B stands for Brooklyn, R for Rappers.
As for "divine intervention" I am not positive on what it means. Intervention in something that comes between two things. Divine means a God, or having Godlike qualities. When the clue says "we're calling for a divine intervention," it could mean that the person writing the quote believes that stopping rap violence is beyond our control, and that a God should intervene to end it.
Based on my theories, the entire clue could stand for:
"From one shooting to another," (if using the term bore) or "From one Brooklyn Rapper to another," (if using the B & R acronym).
A [gang] war rages amongst famous rappers. - This refers to all artists in the rap genre wanting to be known as the champion, or best rapper. A constant rivalry is going on between all of the most famous rappers, as seen by listening to "diss tracks" that many rappers produce. Eminem is a good example of rap rivalries, having been in plenty of them himself.
"We're praying for a God to come between rappers and end violence." - This is what the last phrase could mean. The clue is written as if the artist had written it from his point of view, and Black Star's point of view is to end violence in the rap industry. Black Star wants a God to intervene in the situation because violence in rap is only going to get worse.
"From one shooting of a Brooklyn Rapper to another, a war continues between the big artists of the Rap genre. We're praying for a God to intervene."

How on Earth does BoRe translate into "Brooklyn Rapper"? Also, the capitalization of BoRe suggests that it doesn't just mean "bore." The "BoRe" is a thing, in and of itself. So what is it?
Bonnaroo Wish 2011 Wish List.. Going Big lol... F&TM, Robyn, La Roux, of Montreal, Janelle Monae, Sia, M.I.A., Girl Talk, Daft Punk, Animal Collective, Radiohead, The xx (but prolly not), iamamiwhoami (would be a dream), Yeasayer, Grizzly Bear... perhaps more but that would be greedy haha

if B&R are Bvlgari & Rolex we could assume bore refers to bling or diamonds. They could bore. Hardest substance on earth. Also diamond tipped drill bits are used to bore through most hard surfaces.
also gary said 'steer clear of metal' on this one. CLEAR
this would make it safe to assume further that the artist is a blinged out individual perhaps a rapper or R&B artist.
war rages amongst champions further supports the idea of hip hop... i mean we all see/hear the feuds.
who could be an artist that would reflect this and require divine intervention.
Perhaps a hip hop jam session with the kings Jay, Kanye and Lil' Wayne.
Or maybe M.I.A.... Bucky Done Gun comes from britsh slang 'Bucky' meaning gun. B&R could also mean Bucky Rifle.

according to urban dictionary.com, a "bore" or "borer" is a common slang term for a sharp, dangerous object, such as a knife. Though Gary said to stay away from metal, so not sure how that fits in - though it does satisfy the urban slang & something that'll hurt/ possibly cause a headache clauses.
I was thinking of the logic of guns, a bullet from a gun can leave a hole. (Bore a hole) A "Bore" is the inside diameter of a gun barrel, which is the diameter of the bullet the gun fires. To keep your bore greased you use either Bore Butter or Rem oil. REM? If this has been guessed and ruled out, I apologize. I didn't see it on the first page.

How about a stake for the BoRe thing? If we can find a slang for a stake, which is not bigger than a breadbox, then it can point us in the right direction or somewhat similar to it.
The urban dictionary says it's rudeboy terminology, maybe it's referring to a Reggae act? Like bonnarat said, maybe Capleton. So the bore is an object smaller than a breadbox that can be used to bore a hole, and may leave you with a headache. I was thinking it must be something loud, like a machine, but it's smaller than a breadbox so not too sure. I think when he said not metal, he meant it's not a metal band, not that the bore isn't metal.

Hey lady! If you can make the rest fit in some kind of sane logic (divine intervention, champions) I will put it up on the big board
Queen maybe? From one wave to another "We Will Rock You". Then "We Are The Champions" fits the rest of the clue. Oh and they had a Album called The Miracle.
If bore is referring to a wave in general then a wave can be of any size. Bore is actually a type of tidal wave though and they are huge. Cokes, the answer to the clue is not what is smaller than the breadbox. The BoRe itself is smaller than the bread box. I think.

"No. And I'd steer clear of the metal for this one. RT @crockerw: garychardonnay The Sword? Am I right?"
I would think this should rule out guns, bullets or knifes...right?
Only thing that I can think of that's not metal, bores, and commonly used in urban slang is a SHIV or SHANK (a non-metal weapon made from homemade items)... But i have no idea how that can relate to B & R...
OKAY >>> Keeping all of the hints/clues for this in mind... Hear me out!
Assuming BoRe is referring to gun/bullets, I began looking at O and E instead of B and R... OE TECH makes accessories and magazines for Airsoft guns (guns that shoot plastic bullets/pellets, can certainly bore a hole or give you a headache if shot in the head!)
SHINY TOY GUNS
Just after they were nominated for a Grammy (Champions), they kicked out the lead singer and replaced her (from one bore to another).
2 Possible "Divine Interventions"
• Removing the previous singer could be a "divine intervention" because their next album and single got them higher on the charts than they have ever been. Also, because of the heightened popularity, they worked with Lincoln automobile and made 2 music videos/commercials.
• Their highly anticipated album "III" has been rumored, announced, then delayed, and set aside. Now it appears a miracle (Divine Intervention) has happened because there is a countdown on their website to the date of Feb 11, 2011. With a messages that say "You are waiting for a train... a train that will take you far away" and "you know what you hope is at the end of this timer, but you can't be sure. and it doesn't matter...because we'll be together."
