I have a feeling it could be Janelle Monae. What tipped me off was in 09 she painted a picture then tossed it into the crowd so I did some digging.
Red White and Blue part: "A tux is such a standard uniform, it’s so classy and it’s a lifestyle I enjoy. The tux keeps me balanced. I look at myself as a canvas. I don’t want to cloud myself with too many colors or I’ll go crazy. It’s an experiment I’m doing. I think I want to be in the Guinness Book of World Records." - Janelle Monae
Farm Heathen: Janelle is quoted in saying Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz has had an impact on creating some of her musical influences. She also grew up in Kansas City. (this part is the biggest stretch for me)
Ten I see: Could be the referring to her Image as she is known for waring Suits and looking professional all the time.
Just a random thought about 'farm heathen.' If a heathen is someone that is unenlightened (says the dictionary tool on my Mac) then maybe a farm heathen is someone that is unenlightened to the farm? Which could mean either someone who is from the city/urban areas (since there aren't many farms there, they wouldn't know how a farm really works) or someone that would be new to The Farm.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
i know i'm going to get Leno for this but what about john mellencamp? for some reason when i read the clue that is the first thing that comes to mind. classic americana, did the whole farm aid thing.

Ok, so I follow these clues every year and I never even attempt to answer but here's something I come up with. It isn't a perfect fit, but....
When I saw the clue was first shown in Denton, I immediately thought song "The Best Ever Death Metal Band Out of Denton" by the Mountain Goats. "Pallette" can also mean a variety of techniques or range of any art. They have a new album coming out that is being described as death metal, definitely a new "young" type of album for them. A heathen is defined as someone who doesn't believe in god or has yet to be converted. And the song concludes with "Hail Satan".
As far as the other stuff go, I have no way to connect it. I still vote for The Mountain Goats.
**Side note** I also thought of the song "Sheep Go to Heaven, Goats Go to Hell". A Farm Heathen
Maybe someone will can use this for direction, or maybe I will be cut down as a moron who knows nothing as many people on here seem to like to do. Either way ;D
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!
So the wording of this clue makes me think we're looking for a person/musician instead of a whole band. A "farm heathen" among giants makes me think that this is someone who has never been to Roo but has played with the big guys previously; perhaps with a super group or collaboration with a big musician. "Ten I see" also makes me think this person is from Tennessee. The problem with that is that there are sooo many musicians that live in TN.

I think it's already been proven that farm does not mean Bonnaroo. I think it's been posted in one of the troll pages.

I think it's a solo performance from someone usually associated with a band, possibly a female, that has never played bonnaroo. "Red white and blue" or "farm heathen" refer to the band this person is in I think. I haven't been right about anything else, no reason I should be right about this either though.

I will consult the greatest psychic ever on these damn clues and use some black magic. I am not far from Hopkinsville Kentucky where Edgar Cayce is buried. By now the body should have decomposed and some of the molecules will have leached into the soil. Grass grows from the soil. I will go hang out on the grave with a magnifying glass when it is sunny this weekend. Will use the most powerful tool I can get the sun and burn some of the grass and inhale the vapours. Thearby transferring some of the molecules of Edgar Cayce into my body. Part cannibalism part Black Magik maybe take an Alistair Crowley book with me for a lil inspiration. By Monday I will either give you the entire lineup IN ORDER or be locked the fuck up and probably shot with a tranquilizer. Will also devote my newfound "borrowed" psychic talents to getting the powerball numbers for this week so I can get one of those ALL ACCESS packages so me and my peeps will not have to slum it in the tent ghetto.
