Leno also Cold War Kids, Tupac , Coachella, and, Iron and Wine, and Wnada Jackson need aprint version to flip to page 10 I am thinking. And we should all fear that.
Hmmm. I think we need to figure out what the term "farm heathen" means, rather than just what farm he is talking about. I think the farm is nonspecific, I think "farm heathen" is being used to describe the subject of the clue.
we also might possibly probably consider the eventuality that this clue is most likely about a band
What's your reasoning?
gut feeling - no, no - call it an informed guess
further more - is it possibly this cad is playing devil's advocate!! trying to throw us off the sent - wild eyed feind - be gone with your misdirectional black magic!!
just putting this out there - is there any band playing ZE ROO this year that has it's tenth album coming out? I still like the idea of "ten" actually representing the number ten - as in the tenth bonnaroo - I am trying to think if there is an act that has played every Roo!!

I liked the idea of farm heathen meaning a wolf or coyote or something like that. I keep trying to make wolfmother fit but nothing beyond that they're from australia and the australian flag is red white and blue
i joined this forum just to say that i think clue 5 is The Secret Sisters. Their album cover features a bunch of red white and blue, especially in the makeup. They are a "young" act performing older-sounding music style. Their biggest song is called "Tennessee Me" in which they beg someone to "please, please, tennessee me." And if you google image them, you will see that in the original photo of their album cover, one of the girls is wearing a patch on her shirt of elvis presley that was photoshopped out in the final cover (farm heathen disguised among giants).
What about MGMT? They're a young band from Tennessee, they played a hell of a set in '10... could be the heathen link.
While I would love for it to be MGMT, they're not from Tennessee. Andrew is from Memphis, but they met at Wesleyan, which is in CT. Also, they didn't play Bonnaroo in '10.

Look below - the clue isn't about someone who played in 2010:
Oh, and I don't know about the idea of the last bit of the clue referring to an act who played in 2010, either. As someone pointed out earlier, there's virtually NO chance there's only one act on the lineup who played last year.
I know when that second sentence says "farm" and makes a pun on Tennessee it's awfully tempting to assume it's talking about Bonnaroo, but my guess would be that that isn't the case.

perhaps we are thinking to literally about the word heathen - by all accounts the word heathen has been used to describe all manner of human throughout time - and in no way does the word heathen represent experience or venerability - when i picture a farm heathen i picture great towers of flame in the night - circles of shadowy figure undulating in the darkness - animalistic cries to the moon - strange ritual and the like!! so to assume that "farm heathen" references a roo veteran is kind of a stretch - not saying it doesn't just posing the question, why would you automatically make this assumption?
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)

You're very clever plasticpepper.

Oh, I know. I was responding to the fact that the OP said they played a hell of a set in '10.
Saul Williams (Though I do believe this changes) Protomen wear helmets of red white and blue (red/white for Protoman, Blue for Megaman) ...ehh that's all I can think of

red white and blue are all part of this young palette = not literal colors a farm heathen = Single performer ("A") (probably folk or rock music instead of rap/hip hop disguised among giants = maybe not mainstream (disguised) but successful (among giants) the only Ten I see = probably from Tennessee
thats about all i got... KoL? even though they're mainstreamish

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents. Maybe a long shot but I'm thinking and hoping Frank Turner. I think he was at 2010. He's a single performer, often has a backing band now, in the folk rock genre. He's is starting to get pretty big now and has opened for Greenday and The Offspring on legs of their tours. He just finished a tour with Lucero and Social Distortion. He's an atheist. red white and blue not too sure about. He's from england so maybe the flag? He also has a song called Nashville Tennessee. I don't know. Those are all things I could see that might link him to it.

I don't think the farm heathen refers to Bonnaroo. garychardonnay already mentioned that. But it's easy to get lost due to the trolling. But correct me if I'm wrong.
a farm heathen is not a farm, is that what plasticpepper said? I'm sorry I'm not interested in spending the next five minutes wading through all those troll posts.
Edit: a farm heathen: can we think about what kind of animals attack the farm; ie coyotes, foxes. If it's been mentioned my apologies.

Oh cool! So Scissor Sisters is the answer to this clue? Did you know that they are also the answer to clue number 2?
As much as I don't want her on the farm, I'm sticking with Taylor Swift. Yes, she was born in PA but went to high school in Hendersonville and we all know High School's what forms ya.

unless im mistaken, Secret Sisters and Scissor Sisters are two totally different musical acts.
