I saw GirlTalk in Toronto this past summer and let me tell you it is totally BANANAS!!! People everywhere all over the stage the floor was just packed and every single person was moving!!! I love it! I really hope he gets a late night set!

if both girl talk and massive attack play then those are the 2 big electronica acts we will probably get this year. Just like Deadmau5 and Bassnectar last year.

I've been to 4 bonnaroos and Girl Talk 09 was the most fun I've had at a single show at the festival. I only hope that there are no horrible conflicts. Big Boi vs Girl Talk would hurt.
Cool, the music is good for parties and stuff. Just one dj correct? Any good live anyone?
Killed at Coachella in '09. He does mix in some mainstream crap that not everyone (including myself) wants to hear, but the way he mixes in the classics always makes for a good time! The dude is eclectic and quite random so don't be surprised to hear some tunes many of us jammed on tape while riding our bikes long long ago...

Thanks for the summary. I shall avoid.
Come on man, you and I both know that this post doesn't do a Girl Talk show one iota of justice. I will say you don't go to experience profound musicality or anything resembling a "concert" in the traditional sense. It's a simply a mindless rave of the highest order and one hell of an awesome time. And like a lot of others say, it will make you appreciate the most degenerate of hip-hop music.

Agreed. And after a long day of listening and searching for the most profound of music, it's nice to shut the brain down and party. Girltalk is what he is, a great time. Who really gives a Leno what the dude chooses to do lyrically? It's just simple fun, nothing more; however, he is veeeeeery good at what he does.

I love Girl Talk's music and it's a fun show, but I feel like they could book another electronic act that hasn't played before, instead of repeating themselves
Mr. Gillis is bringing his show to a small place pretty close to me, but now that he is playing 'Roo, I might wait to see him on the farm. I'm nervous about possible conflicts, but I think it would be a fun show.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
went to my 2nd Girl Talk show this Saturday in Boston... amazing time. His shows are just proof that you don't need to be extremely gifted at playing an instrument or singing to put on an entertaining show and create an amazing time. Girl Talk = the single greatest party you've ever attended.
plus he might recognize me at bonnaroo now seeing how he decided to come shake my hand before he started the show because he liked my t-quilizer.
Thought this was a cool excerpt .... "When asked if he would be willing to collaborate onstage with other festival performers, Gillis responded. “I would like to do it because, you know, people have mentioned it to me in the past with just the idea of collaboration being such a kind of a fundamental part of Bonnaroo…there are some smaller rappers that aren’t necessarily Lil’ Wayne or Eminem that could definitely be a possibility.”
Chiddy Bang strikes me as a possibility. Though I'd love to see a Big Boi collaboration as well.
Just saw Girltalk in Knoxville Tn. on the 29th. Awsome party and latenight at roo will just be freakin insane! Don't miss this guy if you've never seen him and are even remotley into dancing...was crazy!
