the more I think about it, the more I think the new tweet means that we will solve all three clues in much the same way. So, are we possitive the second clue is cut copy or scissor sisters? Can anyone apply the logic for solving the second clue to the first and third one? Just throwing out ideas...
The two elements in common with clue #1 and clue #3 are "space." The 1st clue is definitely about a space mission having difficulties (which most of us clue solvers seem to think means Apollo 13) and clue 3 is about being "up." The one thing definitely in common in both clues is something being up, up in space, up in the air.
What is up in the winter sky? What is up for only a couple of months? A particular star? Constellation? Or does it mean a space mission that is currently going on? Atlantis?
This may be a stretch linking clues #1 and #3, but here goes.
A space shuttle fell out of the sky in 1986. This is the same year the main Guns and Roses band came together. According to Slash's autobiography the band initially recorded "November Rain" in 1986 even though it wasn't on Album until the early 90's. No one but Axl and slash wanted to record it, but they did. This could be a watershed moment because the next year the band recorded "appetite for destruction." Which went 18x platinum and "The album is the best-selling debut album of all-time worldwide."
Growing up Axl didn't find peace in the church (which was a big part of his life), and learned that his real fathers name was Rose. He took the Rose name (maybe his Guru is his father.)

Kelly and Flight Engineers Alexander Kaleri and Oleg Skripochka have been living aboard the orbiting complex since Oct. 9. Three additional flight engineers -- Dmitry Kondratyev, Catherine Coleman and Paolo Nespoli -- docked the Soyuz TMA-20 spacecraft to the Rassvet mini-research module on Dec. 17 to begin a five-month stay aboard the station.

how about Donovan?
one of his most know songs is Atlantis. i was reading up on him and there were a few different sites that tied him into beliefs with eastern religions. guru's, in religious sense, are more connected to the eastern religions.
i was looking into Donovan a few months back and there was an article about him planning on doing one more tour this year before he decided to retire.
ive been searching for that article again, i cant find it anymore.
the only thing i can find for him is a show in England on June 3rd.

What about Ben Howard for the 1st clue... he has an album called These Waters and a song called Cloud 9. There is an accomplished aviator and aeronautical engineer by the same name, Ben Howard.
Hmmmmmmmmmm. pilots are "Up" and there are guru's at temples....i guess
And stones are cast as was said last page, like when people skip stones, and stone is an element as people were discussing, hahaha. I hate these stupid clues.
Could be STP...but I don't see how all of clue 3 points to them: Still up. A month now, maybe two. Pilots normally aren't up for a month or two. The clue, I think, is saying something that is up right now and has been for a month or two. So, to me, the most obvious thing would be a winter constellation or a star or a present space mission (but I don't think it is a space mission). And, the thing I see most in common with clue 1 and 3 is something in space... I don't Twitter (have no account). Anyone else think it worthy enough to ask Chardonnay if the connection could be space/a constellation?
The powers that be be are trolling us so hard it hurts!
/I think the clue-givers are all sitting in a room somewhere enjoying the essence of Bonnaroo, and laughing their donkeys off at the tangents that these "clues"are taking everyone on....

Hmmmm. My immediate thought when seeing the element tweet was water, based on the cast connection someone already mentioned. But given that Gary Chardonnay basically told us we're on the right track with space exploration theories for the first clue, maybe air (or space) would be the element we're looking for.
"Still up [in the air]. A month now, maybe two." Not sure what to do with that. Around the world in 80 days? A month or two out of that journey would be...uh...halfway around the world? Although in the book he didn't actually travel by hot air balloon at all. Jules Verne also wrote Five Weeks in a Balloon though...
Still up. A month now, maybe two. Clouds? It usually stays pretty cloudy for the first few months of the year. Don't call the priest, just find my guru. Cults are usually run by gurus? Cloud Cult?
I know it's a longshot, not sure if they're a big enough name, but figured I'd throw it out there anyways.
"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!

Gary Chardonnay tweeted this: "riburroo, how quickly you fall off the right path...."
Not sure if that's for this clue or not. In just a sec I'll look back over what riburroo has said. Pretty sure he mentioned water being the common element...
Oh, and he also tweeted this beforehand: "There are no stones to throw with this hint. Look for a common cast."
New thought; "Still up. A month now, maybe two," combined with "just find my guru," might imply trouble descending from levitation. Two band immediately come to mind, Pixies and U2. There is also a connection with a Priest and U2 via their quote "And a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle," which is a feminist slogan emphasizing the independence of women from men in, among other things, marriage.
I really don't know what part of that might have been on the right path though. The water thing sounds most likely but if it was that he wouldn't have "fallen off" that path in any way.
EDIT: Ugh, nevermind, just noticed that Gary Chardonnay also posted that in the other thread and quoted the post of riburroo's he was talking about. I'm just being dumb and trying to do too many things at once.
Someone should ask that guy if the clues directly infer a band name or a song title from a band??? or a lyric from a band??or an album name from a band???
It is too hard not to stretch for our answers when we have no idea what we are looking for

Cloud Cult is due and they are awesome. Would love this!
