can i please get cryogenically frozen until early february so i don't have to annoy everyone i know with my bonnaroo clue babble?
also, i still think we're not approaching this clue with the syntactic detail we must. I think it's clearly a clue with a distinction between the first and second parts, so much that I think it might be hinting at an either-or situation, or two artists.

currently putting everything i've got into this for the first time today. googling lots of stuff, got a lot of windows open, trying to seperate phrases and meanings.
what about atmosphere? probably not but it deals with space.
And then everything would change for sublime with Rome in the mix (watershed moment).
Yea that doesn't make sense.
Watershed Moment- A critical turning point. an important period, time, event, or factor that marks a change or division. A point in time when nothing after will ever be the same as before. To call it a turning point technically is true, but it is an overly simplistic definition of the phrase.
Adding Rome to Sublime I'm pretty sure would cover every single one of those...if that makes sense

I understand why, but it doesn't make sense with the clue. It's too much of a vague connection between adding a new lead singer and being a watershed moment.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

maybe it refers to the band called the slip who played bonnaroo in 2007. the apollo space program was conceived during eisenhower administration and the slip have an album called eisenhower. i don't know.

What about bringing Sublime back together after so many years, adding Rome did that....it's a pretty big turning point, important period, time, event and factor for the band because they wouldn't be playing with each other right now if they wouldn't have gotten a new singer. and nothing will ever be the same having to replace Brad.
It's not as bad as half of the guesses on here haha

I mean it's because he's singing all of Brad's songs. Let em get in the studio and produce some stuff and ya never. I know it's probably not them, but it's fun to try and guess

A trip to space (I think this is obvious)
thwarted by a speckled lad's demise. (The mission was aborted after an oxygen tank ruptured and damaged some stuff. Ken Mattingly was originally supposed to be on the mission but couldn't because he was exposed to measles)
A watershed moment otherwise. (Apollo 13 was to land on the moon. It wasn't the first, but its still a major event.)

If we follow this line of thought, I don't necessarily think the clue is referring to Apollo 13 specifically, but rather the whole Apollo Space Program.
I quoted some pages back a snippet I found online from a book about the Apollo 1 disaster. To paraphrase, it said "The Apollo 1 mission was a watershed moment." I'll go back to find it....

Note: I was doing some wiki reading and Ken Mattingly didn't ACTUALLY have measles, it was just suspected that he might. Too fine a distinction? Maybe, but...
Sublime with Rome- Lou dog had spots (speckled) and went to the moon in a song where Brad was real down about losing him. Brad died so there's demise. And then everything would change for sublime with Rome in the mix (watershed moment).
It was the "speckled lads demise". Lou had spots. Brad did not. I don't think it's Sublime.
