Last song on New Adventures in Hi-Fi is "Electrolite" as well. Makes sense now. No more clues. Bummer. Does that mean the comment about Daft Punk is null and void/means nothing?
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Getting pinned is a BIG deal, and its a huge thing. If its done right, its planned in advance and its a huge surpise to the kid in question.
My pinning was a huge deal, and happened the night after 10k after everyone left and our kids got permission to stay on the land for a few days and clean up before we left for yellowstone and glacier during the off days between 10k and seattle. Camp was kicking, a few off our kids where in the kitchen getting dinner ready, some kids where getting the fire started, and me and dawn and few others where out on a groundscore mission. This was just after the sun went down, we where walking up to camp (camp goodness sponsered by cookies, that is!!!) when 7-8 of our kids are walking towards me with this distinct look on their face. Now, about my actual pinning... Catch me in the real world sometime, ill tell you over a bowl, but something like that is just to personal to discuss over the internet. Lets just say it was special. I will say this, after i got pinned, dawn gives me this huge kiss and is like "baby you deserved that." After i got pinned we all had a huge celebration. It was a special time. We had a huge family dinner, and after dinner a sheet was put in a bottle of orange juice and everyone was ceremonially dropped by the Rev.
The sketch kids you speak off probobly bought their wings. Wings arent to be bought, or put on yourself. You earn wings by bringing your energy to the scene day in day out, letting your light shine, and proving time after time that you are FAMILY. Just by being a solid kid. Wings are a big deal, and i didnt even understand that until i got pinned. Having a pair of wings on you does a lot for you. Regardless of the few sketch kids who either have spent to much time on tour or bought their wings and pinned themselves, when someone sees you have your wings, they know youv been around a minute and that your trustworthy, and most importantly, that you are family. It took me years to get my wings and i didnt even realize i was being watched and that i was wanted.
Im a terrapin over the bolt... Mine were worn for years by the kid who pinned me before they where put on me. I caught the dead, but i dont consider myself to be a dead kid by any means. I love the dead, but it just wasnt my scene, i missed that wave. Having wings and all that comes with it really has nothing to do with the grateful dead, its about family, and what this scene is all about at its heart. It says a lot for a person if they have their wings.

I just dropped my mama off on a greyhound back to chitown for a little while. Me met at the first show of summer tour, pozo... It was a beautiful summer day in cali and cheese opened with restless wind... We did the tour together and just grew so close. My favorite memory of radio city this summer isnt even the cheese shows, its the 2 days we spent raging new york just walking around together, seeing everything. Meditating in the imagine circle in central park, seeing ani play in the park, hanging around central park all day the next day, going to the dakota building that night. We both agree it was the BEST night of our lives. Doing the diggity on lake michigan while phil played eyes of the world across the lake.. Doing the diggity and peaking together during dark star from 10k... Its weird how close you get to be with someone when you do tour together, its totally unlike a normal relationship where you go on dates and all that schwag, its like for a month and half, you are together 24/7 sharing all these experiences. It makes spending a month and a half together feel like a year in the real world. Me and my kids closed on our house today, and ill see her again sep 12th when i come up for sts9 midwest tour and the start of fall tour, then we are planning on settling in chitown after fall tour... Its so hard to be apart. Before i got yanked off tour, i was going to ask Todd to play real love in eugene, and i was going to ask her to move to alabama with me when they did it, but i got yanked off tour, so i had to do it over the phone, and we decided we would rather live in chitown. So we closed on our house today and our move in day is friday.. Im planning on living in mobile for about 2 months while i get my finances and things in order for fall tour and then i want to find a place in the city with her after fall tour... Heres to all you guys who are apart from someone you love...
I love our family and our cheeseyness... Be proud of it. I rock a LRG falcon hat and an LRG falcon shirt... Both of which are OLD school retired LRG design. Both of which where mad kickdowns from family, and i got pinned on that hat that drew kicked me down. I also wear a cape! I wear glitter on regular occasions! As dawn will tell you, i also have a man crush on keith and nat. Seriously, whats happening to the purple board. Are we the only FREAKS left??? Where is stephan when we need him!??? Am i going to have to call him and tell him people are hating on the freak crew on PT?
Fuck yeah! i believe next to my 6 pound peice of smokey quartz, this is my pride and joy! real chunky egg-shaped amazingly healthy peice of moonstone... so beautiful and luscious...
Bonnaroo kind of Hi-jacked the whole clue-giving arena last year. They started to tweet them themselves. I wonder if they are just gonna do it themselves this year. In the clue sub-board someone posted about hearing on Radio Bonnaroo about clues, so per that info, you would think SOMEONE is going to do them.

Right yeah, I'm thinking that's possible! It's highly probable that he has to get the green light before he can start anyway. Or at least I'm sure they have to greenlight which acts he's allowed to give clues about because it has to be the acts that are completely pinned down. (I'm thinking it's still early enough that the entire lineup isn't set in stone and they wouldn't want to be giving clues for someone who ended up backing out or something.)
This may be enough to get me to actually GO to the brunch this year instead of PLAN TO GO to the brunch like the past few years... guess that means ill have to post more this year too huh?
