I feel like a broken record here, but while they have alot of room for improvement on their live shows, they're still full of energy, awesome stage precense and lots of fun. It's not terrible as people make it out to be. IT WILL BE A FUN SHOW.
if you like singing along really loudly to their album then you will like their show. yea they're not amazing live but they bring a lot of energy and the songs are catchy as hell. plus i feel like they'll really get down a psyched up roo crowd.
that being said, i will have no problem skipping them for someone else i want to see.

Exactly what I was thinking. Can't wait for this show.

Alexis Krass (singer) is at like 0:07 and 0:41 in this. If anyone watched Nickelodeon in the late 90's they've probably seen this at least 1,000 times.

Oh God, now this is just plain awesomesauce. This commercial got my parents to give me a two year subscription to Nickelodeon magazine. Plus Alexis Krass the fact that Alexis Krass is in the commercial makes it that much more radical.

AWESOME! CocO for you! the scary part is i almost remembered the commercial word for word...
I've been listening to these guys non-stop this morning, I can't wait to see them. I missed them at Moog but it sounds as if I didn't miss much. I'm sure they'll have their stuff together for a bigger fest, I'm expecting good things.

I don't know what you're talking about. That show made me a believer. I had an unbelievable time.
So I've been totally digging the album Treats, and I'm looking forwoard to seeing them live, but I REALLY hope it's not just guitar, vocals, and backing track. That's not live. Wack is what that is.

Just gave them a listen after seeing AC's tweet last night. They have some killer bass that's forsure. Will more than likely be checking them out on the farm!
M.I.A.-associated Brooklyn pop experimentalists Sleigh Bells (former Poison The Well member Derek Miller and former teen singer Alexis Krauss) were also nothing less than stunning, their metallic set bursting with shouty cheerleaders-on-PCP choruses, lo-fi distortion, tape hiss, punchy and crunchy guitars, cheapo sound effects, pummeling hard-rock drumbeats, and plenty of noize, noize, noise. And Alexis, with her wild-eyed stage demeanor and blood-curdling horror-queen scream, proved her teen-pop days were far, far behind her. Sleigh Bells slayed, basically, and their set was one of the most fun, ferocious party-rawk gigs of the day. They truly played the Mojave Tent like it was a stadium, especially when they--like Cee Lo earlier in the day--cranked out a bit of "Iron Man."
My friends are always playing a song by them, and when I read Sleigh Bells on the lineup I didn't even realize they were the ones who sang it, but since then I've listened to a few songs and I am definitely not missing this show

Does anyone know if they're working on new material? Their album's only 32 minutes, and I think their EP has 1, maybe 2 songs not on the album. Even if they played all of those that's not even 40 minutes. They seem to be one of the "bigger" names of the Thursday acts so I wonder if they'd get an hour.
Dark days ahead: While Treats is bursting with flavorful dance punk and textural guitar riffs, Sleigh Bells has decided to explore more serious territory on its second album. "On Treats, we let the rhythm do all the heavy lifting. This one is going to be different from that happy-go-lucky, dance-with-abandon pop," says Krauss. "It's more guitar-based, the arrangements are more thought out." For Miller, who does the bulk of the writing, the new songs touch on painful past experiences. "A lot of tragic things have happened that I'm not ready to talk about yet," he says, declining to elaborate. "A lot of stuff has gone down, and I need a minute to digest it all."
Coming up: The band kicks off its tour with a performance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., this weekend, after which Sleigh Bells hits the road through June with CSS and Neon Indian. "On June 25, we're going to put Treats to rest, get back in the studio," Krauss says. "We hope to release it in 2012."
love love love love the band, but their live show sucks. it def needs major work. its short, very short, and all they do is play the guitar riffs to a backing track with a lead singer. they really need a live DJ with them IMO.
I've never seen them live but I've seen a bunch of live videos and it looks like their live shows have really improved over the past few months. I still feel that they would really benefit from having a live drummer.
Random Question : Is the guitarist still in Poison the Well? I'm just curious.

no he left a while ago - after they toured on you come before you back in 2004. the band themselves are on hiatus right now too.
