i'm still just not feeling U2 this year. not saying i don't want them, i just don't think it's happening.
6-Pack anyone?
I have a feeling we are getting U2, it is the other two headliners that I continually am having a problem with. It makes sense with the schedule, and it might be pricey, but it is a very exciting band to have headline.
The 6 pack bet would be cooler if you could bring in bottles.
If you are over the age of 30 it is not really a problem. I actually have not been searched at all going in since '07. In 06 I brought in 50 6 packs of Yazoo in bottles, so it is not like it is impossible or anything.
I'd like to check it out, but I'm not sure if I can afford it. Gotta save up some cash as I'm tryin' to see The Black Crowes in Raleigh, and then two more times up in DC. We shall see though 'cause it does look like a lot of fun.

Yeah dude just throw on some Chieftans once you hit the line and you'll be good to go.
If I went to a Lady Gaga concert with my girlfriend, I just know she would love it and I would hate it and we would fight about it. She likes a lot of really good music, but for some reason she's 100% behind Lady Gaga. I don't really get it.
So, when Lady Gaga comes to the RBC Center in September (10 min. from my house), I will make no effort to go to prevent the inevitable fight, even though she has mentioned in passing wanting to go (but, if she really wanted to go, she would definitely ask me about it more; plus, we've got a really busy September planned already). Am I being selfish or smart?
When you concluded your hypothetical statement "If I went to a Lady Gaga concert with my girlfriend, ..." with anything other than I'd have have to cut off my testicles and stuff them in my ears, I quit reading.

I got searched going into VIP this year by an 18 year old kid, who as quick as he grabbed a fresh bottle of grey goose out of my camping gear(which he yelled out "found some" he put it back as quick as I handed him $20...he picked up my glass bong and put it right back yet was about to toss my bottle...stick with the cans, it could all go bad with the wrong employee checking your car

I've heard quite a few stories of people getting busted bringing in kegs. If I remember right the rules prohibit them. I've also heard a few stories of people getting them in. I imagine that probably just takes a bit of palm greasing.
Hopscotch seems a no go for me, now, because of school. Sucks, I was looking forward to Dungen, Tortoise, Public Enemy, NOMO, Panda Bear, Atlas Sound, and some others.
If money is the problem you can buy single tix to Hopscotch, I think that's what my hubby's gonna do to catch Public Enemy
Just saw the U2 tour line up and they have a huge hole
06/07 – Oakland, CA @ McAfee Coliseum 06/17 – Anaheim, CA @ Angels Stadium
Just thinkin'
Im pretty sure they have to headline Glastonbury to after they had to cancel this year right? That layoff would give them time to play Saturday @ Bonnaroo on the 11th and than they have a few days off where they would play Glastonbury on the 24th or 25th.
You know, I've been expecting the Allman Bros ever since they had to cancel and that hasn't happened yet.

I just hope they kind of go back to the roots that got this fest going 10 years ago..How about Lolapalooza 20th anniversary in 2011

Big Green Day fan years ago but will be hanging out at camp gettin ready for late night if they are there next year.
Anyone think maybe roo has been trying to get Arcade Fire for a few years but they won't play unless they headline? I think I've read a few places they are pretty arrogant.
I wasn't a huge AF fan before this new CD. I mean, I liked probably 5-10 of their songs as much as the next guy and have really wanted to see them based on what I've heard about them live. The Suburbs, though, IMO is much easier to listen to over and over again than their previous CD's and now they're probably in my top 5 wish list. Can't say what I'd do about an AF/MMJ conflict, either.

Ravi Shankar is 90 years old. As great as the chance to see a legend and incredible musician and person such as that would be, do you think someone of his age would play an outdoor festival in the summer in Tennessee?
