Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
MMJ headlined Voodoo as KOL did the year before they headlined Bonnaroo. I realized KOL headlined European festivals as well, but regardless, MMJ can close out the fest or do a split headliner.
It's very realistic that they close out the fest, especially if Bonnaroo wants to rid the audience to make the Monday traffic more bearable.
Also, that tweet didn't say anything about top 6, it just mentioned the bands that they were thought to be playing...I put Gorillaz, DP, and MMJ as headliners because I think they are.
We will have to agree to disagree then, I do not see any of the three headlining in a traditional sense.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

the xx have said they have no plans to record a second album or tour again, so that tweet has no credibility with me
as for that coachellaleaks site, just looking at how the website is ran it seems like it has no credibility at all and i would not buy into that daft punk "confirmation" for coachella for one second. however, to be completely fair, they did confirm P.tM before anyone else, and days later P.tM confirmed in an email
also i dont see how gorillaz and daft punk cant appear on the same bill. gorillaz fri HL daft punk saturday what stage LN with a classic HL on saturday and jam HL on sunday. makes perfect sense to me.
Daft Punk and Gorillaz are too similar in style to both headline. Daft Punk would not appeal to everyone there (yeah I know most headliners don't appeal to everyone, but there are going to be a lot of people that flat out hate Daft Punk and that style of music). MMJ could close out, but I think they will probably do late night again. As for Kanye..... you seriously have to be joking. I don't care what happened last time. Why would you book an act to headline that is going to be booed off stage? I wouldn't boo necessarily, but at least half the crowd would.

Gorillaz and Daft Punk have somewhat similar draws. I find it hard to believe that both of them would headline Bonnaroo as well.
Pretty concerned about Daft Punk being at Roo if they are indeed playing Coachella. I know it's good that they'll at least be touring, but still...I'm definitely concerned.

I have a feeling if they are touring they will be a LN What act, of course I am not taking that websites word on any of this. Like I said before they retired the pyramid, and if you have a new multimillion dollar stage setup you are going to make it can pay for itself.

I don't think Daft Punk and Gorillaz are similar in styles at all. They may be more of a Coachella type band than Bonnaroo, but the past three years have proven to me that Bonnaroo definitely does not "play by the rules" and don't really seem to care if they still maintain their jammy roots.
I think the promoters want to be more on the cutting edge nowadays as they've gotten more and more corporate, which is all about the bottom dollar, which is why I think Kanye will be back sooner than later. He just released an album that many are claiming to be the best or one of the best of all time. As for these promoters, they're more like the French than Americans when it comes to dealing with artists: they're all whores. Kanye has a lot to prove and he knows it and especially after Jay-Z showed all rap headliners how it's done last year.
I'm still sticking with McCartney. I really think he will be this year's main headliner. And if Daft Punk really is at Coachella, I don't think it hurts their Bonnaroo chances at all. Jay-Z headlined Coach last year and he played a late night set at Roo. Daft Punk would more than likely do the same thing (given that the Coach rumor is true).

Damnit, I knew it would be something semi simple. I have recently started listening to him... I dunno if I like him better than The Tallest Man on Earth, but I do like him.
I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this or not so I apologize if this has already been discussed at length but i figured some people may want to see this somewhat disappointing information. I'm also not sure about the reliabilty of the site but here: www.coachellaleaks.com/2010/11/28/daft-punk-will-play-coachella-2011/#more-342

I've said it before but I'll say it again ,the order of the lineup was all messed up last year. Jay-Z should have been way higher up, was probably on that far because he was LN not HL. Should have been something like Jay Z- Stevie Wonder- Dave Matthews-KOL I would've also accepted Stevie Wonder-Jay-Z- Dave- KOL
I've been posting the lineup as they announce it in the Festival thread. COS didn't have it up until today and I commented on them to check summercamp's twitter.
Not trying to pump my own post but include Bright Eyes who may possibly be there as well. Although it didn't say anything about a tour, you've got to like the chances.
