I don't know if it's been mentioned but Rush announced their tour dates and the tour ends right before June starts. They have USA dates in April then head overseas for the month of May.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
They aren't but Radiohead can still play without a new album...however, I'm starting to believe the guy's tweet about Gorillaz, Daft Punk, & MMJ being the headliners. It seems too plausible.
edit:
This could be a very realistic top 6 minus one band:
Daft Punk Gorillaz My Morning Jacket Kanye West Buffalo Springfield The Mars Volta
Not to start anything but this seems like a less than plausible scenario. There are no headliners, and Mars Volta is not a top 6 band.
I count 4, and don't forget, Bonnaroo has gotten a lot more commercial in the past two years, especially this past year with all those 90 minute sets performed by the headliners.
And I agree about Mars Volta, but didn't know if their popularity exploded. And for some reason, I don't think they get Furthur and it has nothing to do with Kanye incident. I do think they get Rythm Devils or the other Kreutzmann band with NOLA supergroup.

Gorillaz plays 90 minute shows, as does Daft Punk either might make it LN what but I doubt we would have both. Kanye is not going to get a high slot this soon, and even the biggest MMJ fans doubt they would headline.

Is the criteria for being a headliner 90 minute shows now? I know they're usually longer than that, but it's not impossible for a band to play 90 minute shows and still be a headliner.

Did that tweet say anything about those artists as headliners? I don't think it said those were the top 6, if so its way off because The Xx are not near that popular. I thought it just said these will be on the farm...
I see either Gorillaz or MMJ in a "headlining" spot if it is split like recent years. Or one of them claiming a true headlining spot if the other names are pretty big. We know MMJ could fill the time, their draw as a headliner is the only question. But they could all conceivably be there and none of them true headliners.

I see the Gorillaz definitely holding down a Friday night, unopposed Headliner slot. Sure, they may play short shows, but then you just let the day shows run later and the Late Nights start earlier? As long as they put on a great show, i'd be fine with 90 mins from the Friday HL

Not impossible, but not probable either Bonnaroo is not Coachella almost every hedliner has played two and a half hours plus.

I wasn't there, but I could hear the What stage clearly from our campsite behind tent only. Iirc, KoL played a while, not the general 2.5 hours, but I think they were still playing as we got ready to head in for the late nights, but they were definitely done by the time we were close to the gates.
Who was the shortest? Didn't The Police play a pretty short set? And KoL couldn't have been that long...
The police were short, and people were ticked off they played for half of their allotted time. KOL, was scheduled for 2, but they were still going when I woke up at 11:45 and played a little longer than that.

Argh I was literally just about to post that link. And if that article is true it at least means they're going to be touring next year, which I think can only help Bonnaroo's chances.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Bonnaroo could theoretically one-up Coachella by booking Daft Punk in a non-headlining spot. I don't think this hurts ours chances at all, I agree that, if this is true, it only helps our chances being that it means DP is playing shows.

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this or not so I apologize if this has already been discussed at length but i figured some people may want to see this somewhat disappointing information. I'm also not sure about the reliabilty of the site but here: www.coachellaleaks.com/2010/11/28/daft-punk-will-play-coachella-2011/#more-342

MMJ headlined Voodoo as KOL did the year before they headlined Bonnaroo. I realized KOL headlined European festivals as well, but regardless, MMJ can close out the fest or do a split headliner.
It's very realistic that they close out the fest, especially if Bonnaroo wants to rid the audience to make the Monday traffic more bearable.
Also, that tweet didn't say anything about top 6, it just mentioned the bands that they were thought to be playing...I put Gorillaz, DP, and MMJ as headliners because I think they are.
