2. I think Superfly set a precident in 2004, when Willie Nelson pulled out several weeks before the Roo, Superfly added Steve Winwood. I think the festival was already sold out when Winwood was announced (might be wrong about this, but I know it was very close). I can't imagine them losing one of the headliners and saying oh well.
They've known that the singer was sick since Monday. That's 4 days, but to think that they aren't looking for a backup as of right now is absurd, unless they know something we don't (that's he's already better, which is probably likely). Like I said before, you don't have a headliner get sick, expect to recover the day before the show, and just hope for the best.
Wow, Mr. Serious. I wouldn't mind, personally, but I'm sure his band knows more than 25-30 songs, based on set lists from the last few years, and he won't get to do his full set anyway in the 2 hours allotted on Saturday.
But I know KoL is playing. Just trying to have a little fun.
i'm sure its just wishful thinking with three of the four members of the raconteurs already at bonnaroo a headlining spot would be amazing. They were one of the highlights in 08

It is wishful thinking. They aren't big enough to headline. I love the band but they simply aren't big enough. There are a bunch of people who still feel that White Stripes shouldn't headline and they are infinitely bigger/more popular than Raconteurs.
I grew up worshipping Rock and Roll like a religion. I know its shortcomings and strengths but have loved it unconditionally all the same since I was eight-years old. I ran away and joined the circus and honestly, I'm still as obsessed as I was as a boy. I'm not a kid anymore but I still remember how it felt and it doesn't really feel all that different to me now.
