I'm glad to see they still do that little extended outro on Power Out even though it's not segueing into Rebellion anymore. I like Tunnels and Wake Up more, but Power Out is the best live song you'll hear from them IMO.

Also, word going around the campfire is those balloons were designed by Creators Project, the people who do all the art for Coachella. It wasn't Arcade Fire's doing/part of their tour. I'm guessing we wont get them. Bummer.
It will have tons of people staying through their entire set waiting for the balloons though ha.
I've been pondering for a while now, whether I'm going to try and be in the pit for MMJ or Arcade Fire, because I don't think I'm going to be able to get good spots for both. I had recently decided I would do it for MMJ, but watching that performance made me seriously reconsider.

I might have said this before, but I've done both pits two years in a row for pre-headliner and headliner.
We are also doing the pit for Arcade Fire. Even if we're in the pit for MMJ we'll leave early to get into the line for Arcade Fire. When I saw them this past fall we were about 10 feet back from the stage and it was worth every penny I had to give the scalper to get onto the GA floor. To be that close in the atmosphere of Bonnaroo will be one of my favorite moments of the weekend.
They were awesome but I don't think they were intended for people to just hold on too. Hopefully Bonnaroo keeps them flying through the crowd.
Yeah it was pretty annoying how everyone just held onto them to try and keep them rather than toss them around, which would have looked awesome. I think seeing their performance last night made them my number one looking-forward-to show at Roo.. can't wait!!!

Some tricks to doing both pits, get all food and water you're going to need for awhile before lining up for MMJ about 30 minutes before the set. Right after MMJ, go to the bathroom, then get back in line for AF, who will probably be about 45 minutes away from starting. Unless there's a huge cutting cluster like during Jay-Z last year, you'll be fine.
What side is easier? I heard the left (if you're facing the stage) is a bit easier becasue it is way out of the way. Also there are about 5 other videos, besides Wake Up, from the Coachella broadcast on youtube up for viewing.

How's the view from the sides other than the left? I'm thinking I'm just gonna get to the left line when MMJ start and try my best to actually view them while waiting.
Yeah, that is the one downside of waiting in line is that your view isn't that great. When I was in line for B.B. King in 08, my view of Ozomatli wasn't that great.
And yeah, what was up with the Coachella crowd and holding onto the balloons? If that were at Bonnaroo it'd be probably be close to the Phish glowstick wars of 09.

The crowd held them cause they wanted to keep them. A bunch of selfish people wanted ballons instead of a sea of bouncing light up toys.
TBH, if the balloon drop happens at Roo, and I'm in the pit, I'm keeping one...Probably try to deflate it so I don't block views but that is one hell of a souvenir that I can't pass up.

Wow, only 30 minutes wait will get you in the pit and you can line back up and get in again for HL? I can't believe I haven't even bothered to try this over the last 3 years. I guess everyone just figures, like I did, it'll be impossible to get in that little amount ahead of time. I never wanted to miss the shows before.
BTW I've slowly been growing more and more excited for AF over the last few months but that Coachella stream put it over the top. Balloons or not, MMJ > AF could be the best night of concerts I've ever seen.
