Gogol Bordello is going to be there too and they are heavily rumored to be at roo. Don't count them out until the lineup is released (or they get tour dates over the roo weekend).
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
is it really not that obvious that they are opening the US leg headlining coachella, ending it at roo, then going to europe for festivals? it seems pretty obvious to me. It doesn't matter at all what they schedule after roo, the only way we aren't getting them is if they suddenly schedule something in europe BEFORE june 9th.

No, this didn't that obvious, but I'm be damn happy if your right.
This. For the person asking for 3-5 of their best songs.
I have a bad feeling that AF won't be at Bonnaroo next year. I have an even worse feeling that neither Radiohead, Arcade Fire, nor Daft Punk will be there. This makes me very upset. At least we know Jacket will be there.

Im with ya on MMJ, Im hoping they are back, it would make sense. If you don't think Radiohead,Daft or AF will be there who are ya thinking now? The 3 bands I personally think will be there for sure are MMJ, Phish, Furthur

Member from PH just clarified via Twitter that they won't be touring together, rather just doing a split-headliner gig at some point next year, presumably for a festival. COS has them both slated to play some fest in Europe the week after Bonnaroo. I'd imagine that's what he was talking about, but I guess there could be others as well.
EDIT: Actually, it looks like that festival is already confirmed. Portishead and Arcade Fire at some "twin festival" called the Hurricane and Southside Festivals in Germany. Well-done by them.

There's another one in Spain in July that they are both playing. Maybe the fact that the first fest they're playing together is a week after Bonnaroo, that's a good sign. And maybe the fact that the dude from PH is tweeting this shortly after those Bonnaroo meetings took place is a good sign as well. Both are probably a stretch, though. For some reason, I still doubt AF will be at Roo. I wouldn't be totally surprised if the headliners are U2, Phish, and Neil Young or something similar, with MMJ fourth on the bill.

I was nervous about Arcade Fire this year, with dates in Europe that quick after Bonnaroo, it definitely closes the door a bit. A night on the What with Portishead and Arcade Fire would be great, but I think you are right about your headliner speculation. I also expect some Hip-hop or R&B toward the top, but I am less sure about who that could be. I need to see AF, I was really hoping it would be at 'Roo.

That sounds nice, but I think those as the two What Stage performers Friday night would be a little underwhelming, from an objective perspective. But I would be there.

I don't think anyone should be too anticipative of Portishead. They have already said their tour of North America won't be until the fall. Not that they couldn't do a one off for Roo, but it seems their shows will commence in Europe over the summer and then come into the western hemisphere in September. I would like to see them at Roo, but I don't think its going to happen this year.
Anyone go to the free Obama shows? Went to the Carrboro one and met Win Butler. Very sincere and generous guy. Glad to see they are obtaining the success they deserve.
Seems they are a lock for Coachella. If they do end up making Roo, it'd be most fitting for them to have a Which Stage late night.
I know there's been lots of debate, but I think the Which Stage is just way to small for Arcade Fire.
I beg the differ. Jacket's played the Which Stage and both bands have headlined MSG. NIN played the Which Stage and they are a pavilion/arena band. Hell, even Phil Lesh has played the Which Stage and he used to headline.
Arcade Fire are perfect for a Which Stage late night.
