Just made my first purchase in months.....picked up a copy of Broken Windows and Dirty Hearts: Songs of John Prine. I stumbled upon a live performance of Yim Yames and John Prine from Letterman and one thing led to another
I have been collecting vinyl for quite a while. I have a few hundred, mostly classic rock and a few new things (new meaning mostly 90s-00s stuff). I can post up some pictures of my best stuff, or just list it, or a combo of it. I love showing off my collection I just found this thread
I just bought and received my new turntable. I bought a Pro-ject Xpression III And so far I love it, I assume that if I screwed up the setup I would be able to tell audibly right? I will start posting my new vinyl purchases soon, I just don't have a lot of time right now. I'm also looking at the Emotiva line of preamps and power amps, any input on the gear or should I look elsewhere?
I've never heard either of those records but their covers look absolutely stunning, especially side by side.
Came across copies of The Roots' Illadelph Halflife, the Black Star album, and Blackalicious's Blazing Arrow recently. Snatched all three of those up. Also recently got both the Olivia Tremor Control reissues, Dusk At Cubist Castle and Black Foliage.

Been putting vinyl on hold lately to save up for money Roo and my trip to Vegas for my 21st three days after Roo, but as soon as I feel like I have a little cushion Im gonna buy Okonokos. Does anyone here have it? Gotta be magical
So excited! Just got back from my Saturday afternoon vinyl hunt. Dead's Europe '72, Allman Bro's At Fillmore East, Blind Faith, and a bunch of others at $3 each. Pretty sure my excitement got a few stares when I found these gems among the junk.

On Record Store Day 2012, Phish will release Junta, the band's first full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. Junta marks the band's second release in conjunction with Record Store Day, and the first time Junta has ever been released on vinyl.
This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set is limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies. Junta was recorded at Euphoria Sound Studios in Revere, Massachusetts in 1987 and 1988 on 16-track 2" tape and was mixed to 1/4" stereo reels. In addition to writing and performing all the music, the band produced the album themselves.
Junta was originally self-released on cassette tape in May 1989 with packaging created by the band (included in the new vinyl package). The album was remastered and rereleased as a double CD (and cassette) in October 1992. Junta was certified Gold but, until now, has never been heard on vinyl. The vinyl release was created from the original stereo master reels with lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Each LP is pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl and includes a free MP3 download of the entire album (transferred from the new vinyl master).
2,500 of the Junta LE Deluxe 3-LP sets will include a brand new Limited Edition hand-carved, hand-printed linolium block poster by Jim Pollock, created exclusively for this release. These editions will be distributed randomly at participating independently owned record stores across the country, but will be clearly marked.
This LE Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set was created exclusively for Record Store Day. Junta will be available in stores only beginning Saturday, April 21st. For a complete list of participating record stores, please click here.
