Holy cannoli!! I was going to try to limit myself to $100.00 in records today, but if I can hit it at the right time, I'm not sure that is going to be possible. I see over a dozen I would LOVE to have.

Success!
So far I've gotten:
- Flaming Lips Heady Nuggs (colored vinyl from website) - Grateful Dead - Grateful Dead - Ray LaMontagne - Live - Both White Stripes 7" - Mumford and Sons 10"
My store didn't get any phish soundchecks and only one pink floyd.......lame but i got pretty much everything else i wanted.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Well, Record Store day caught me before payday, so didn't get to buy as much as I would have wanted. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the flips box set on thursday, and they didn't have the Ty Segall I wanted by the time I got to the store, (I got to the store 5 minutes after they opened.) but I'm super pumped about the records I did get.

Just scored the Pink Floyd London 66/67 white vinyl at my first trip, my other local record store just opened 10 minutes ago so Im headin down there to see what I can find. good luck to everybody!
Heady Nuggs really put a dent into what I could buy, and I'm truly jealous of those who got the colored vinyl, but I am still a happy man with what I got:

I got the last copies of Heady Nuggs and Hormoaning, then got home and got the email about the colored vinyl Heady nuggs. Oh well. Not bad for getting there right at 11.
I spent way, wayyyy more than I should have. I'm now officially outlawed from buying either vinyl or concert tickets until at least June 1st. I got:
Karen Elson, MMJ - Z, Daft Punk, REM singles, Superchunk/Coliseum split, Deerhunter 7", Built to Spill 7", Beach Boys 78, and Hormoaning. I also found Unknown Pleasures, Remain in Light, Flip Your Wig, and Portishead used.
I had a fairly successful record store day. Kind of bummed I wasn't able to get the Wild Flag 7" or the White Stripes singles but still happy with my haul.
Fleet Foxes 12" James Blake LP Superchunk 7" Deerhunter 7" Some local stuff A free shirt

Where did you end up?
Because I'm pretty sure we looked through the same used record bin haha.
haha definitely the case. I went to the Record Theatre at University Plaza first and picked up all the RSD exclusives there, and then I went over to Spiral Scratch and looked through the used stuff. It didn't really seem like SS got much RSD stock, but it might've just been totally picked over by the time I got there. How hard was it to not pick up that copy of Crooked Rain?

My brother has a copy so I wasn't too tempted, but I almost bought flip your wig, I just couldn't tell if it was a repress or an original.
I got to Spiral Scratch around 10:05, when they had just opened. There were about 20 people there each with 3 records in their hands. By the time I checked out I headed to Record Theatre on Lafayette, but they didn't have anything I wanted so I left.

MMJ showed up & did a in-store signing here in Lexington. Picked up two copies of the Circuital single and had them signed by the whole band. Great guys. Today was a good day.

I, too, spent way more money than I intended today.
Went to the biggest (and most expensive) local store and they definitely had the best RSD stock but it was so expensive so I only got the Pink Floyd 66/67 London, then I went to the other smaller local store and picked up the Introduction to Syd Barrett.
Then I went out to another good store (Square Records in Akron) about a half hour away and their RSD section was pretty picked over which I was bummed about because I really wanted those Black Angels colored vinyls, the Nirvana Hormoaning and the Deftones covers. But they still had a really fresh LP selection so I got Interpol Turn on the Bright Lights, Evil Urges and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.

^^aaaahh! Jealous.
I didn't break the bank as much as I was expecting to today - spent $30 and got The Velvet Underground & Nico, Richard Hell and the Voidoid's Blank Generation, and Minor Threat's First Two 7"s on a 12". No special releases, but all in all a pretty good haul.

Alberto dear, I was at Square until about 945 ish. One of the first 20 in at 900 after waiting in line for about 35 minutes, but I STILL didn't get everything I wanted because it was so picked over in minutes. Maybe I saw you on accident I headed to a little Indie record store up the street from me at opening time and I was the ONLY one there!! He had a very limited selection of the releases, but I ended up with Deftones, The Grateful Dead and Syd Barrett. I picked up 2 or 3 12inch at Square and 4 of the 7inch plus a TERRIFIC swag bag.
I will post pics in a bit.
Also, according to Jennifer at Square Records Hormoaning is available online at midnight tonight. Anyone know any details about this?

WOW lovelucklaughter, you for sure beat me in Northeast Ohio Record Store Day grabbing. Nice haul!!! I need to start coming out to Square Records more often. Its only like 5 minutes away from where I work and the selection was ridiculous today! Is it always that abundant or did they restock big-time because of RSD? There were sooooo much new vinyl in that there I wanted today. Seemed to be way better than the only other time I came in around a month or so ago

It was pretty stocked up today, but I've pretty much found everything I've gone in for other days. Friend them on Facebook if you are on, they give good alerts when they get in limited or new release etc.

I ended up spending almost $190. i went to docs twice yesterday and after buying Heady Nuggs and Hormoaning I ended up spending the rest of my money in the bargain bin. Docs has a separate room only open on the weekends that is just his cheap selection. I looked through maybe 1/3 of it. For the most part, Docs is high quality vintage vinyl.
Bargain bin. This is an awesome record store.
I am done buying records until the kills show. Tuesday.
Had my own RSD today and reclaimed about 200 albums from my ex along with my Technics turntable. Ironically the album on the turntable was Led Zeppelin II which is the first album I ever bought when I was 16. Can't wait to start spinning them. Thankful for this thread to get me off my (_|_) to get them.
The Black Angels Phosgene Nightmare 10' Mastodon - Live at the Aragon 2lp + DVD Mastodon/ZZ Top - Just got Paid 7" Nirvana - Hormoaning David's Town (Fucked Up as various bands from the town featured on their new album) 12"
the only album I really wanted but did not get was the other Black Angels release, but I'll survive.
