Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Bonnaroo schedule now lists Pretty Lights as 1:45-4:00! That's longer than Oakenfold even. But Zoltaroo still has the old 2:00-3:15. I wish they'd update these two schedules together instead of randomly picking one of the two to make a change to.

That's awesome! I've been worrying about PL overlapping with Girl Talk. But now I can catch at least the first 30 min of PL at least without missing any of GT. I'll propbably stick around for more like an hour then catch the end of GT.
But yeah.. it's pretty dumb they got Oakenfold, GT, and PL playing all at once
I only got to see about half an hour of his set but the part i saw was one of my favorites of the weekend. Girl Talk was a blast but Pretty Lights is more my style of music, i guess
i saw about 45 minutes of Pretty Lights after phish and i really just couldnt get into it for some reason. i really had to force myself to dance. i later went to a little wee bit of oakenfold and it was the same thing, even worse. idk if my interest in electronic music is fading or if it was the corn that night, but friday after phish just left a sour taste in my mouth for me personally. i know everyone else was having a blast so i just decided to remove myself.
tomorrow! new Pretty Lights album, "Passing By Behind Your Eyes" will be available on www.prettylightsmusic.com . i wonder if we can snag it at midnight, i've been wanting to hear this for a while.

Can't wait to finally see him in November. I introduced PL to my friends on the ride up. I got split up from my group on electronic night, ended up only going to GT and Oakenfold. But my friends all went to PL before/after FT and said he was great.
Loving the new album. Does anyone know if his Electro City EP has track names?

He get's better and better with every cd.
I just wish that 90% of his shows weren't 18 plus... specifically Atlanta, which is at the masquarade, which isn't an 18 plus venue in the first... lame, i've been wanting to see him ever since i made the mistake of leaving his set early at roo...

I have to agree with your friends! I had a great time at that show!

I wouldn't really say its necessarily your interest fading so much as its that Oakenfold and PL just aren't that good.

Ok well... Mixed feelings about the show. In general I had a pretty good time. My two friends I brought didn't so much. His music was tight, as always. I really enjoyed it. But, other than his live drummer, I don't think there's much else 'live' about his music. I think he plays an mp3 and then pretends to twiddle knobs on the soundboard whilst bobbing around on stage. I was expecting the lights and visuals I saw at Bonnaroo. And I was dissapointed. All he had was the lights pre-installed in the club (which, don't get me wrong, were pretty alright nonetheless) But I was expecting more 'pretty lights', ya know? And finally, my last complaint... oddly, it was a sausage fest in there. Probably a 4 to 1 guy to girl ratio. That said, it was great music, I danced, I had fun, and it ws a pretty good time.
Edit: I forgot to answer your other question. I'm not sure how long he played because I left early, but he got on at maybe 11:30 and I left at 1:30, so at least 2 hours. According to a website I saw the show was scheduled to run til 4 am, but I highly doubt he played 4.5 hours.

Word, thanks for the mini review. His show at the House of Blues tonight is sold out...while I'm glad his shows are selling out, I'm also rather pissed. Sold-out HoB shows leave absolutely no room to dance.
Whatever. I'm going to the show with Molly and a positive attitude, fun times ahead.

His live shows without the drummer are rather disappointing and as a journalist, I have to say he's a bit of a dick to deal with. Either he or his publicist have an overinflated sense of his national profile and make it next to impossible to do a decent interview.
His music is good though, even if it's occasionally tedious.
