Jimmy Fallon sucks plain and simple. The only cool thing he did was play the jerk manager on Almost Famous (which was not that cool). I cannot count how many times he ruined skits on SNL by laughing at himself. Really, the only competition Dane Cook has for worst comic all time. I know, Im bitter.
n addition to its stellar music programming, Bonnaroo will feature a dynamic host of national headlining comics in its ever-popular seated, air-conditioned comedy venue. Newly named “The Comedy Sweet,” presented by Butterfinger, the tent will welcome some of TV’s most hilarious personalities, including late-night host Jimmy Fallon and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, who will present “Bonnapoo 2009,” a variety show with music, stand up, classic clips, unaired material, interviews and insults.
Sweet, now I won't have to listen to him between Wilco and Bruce (my guess where he would have been in the Chris Rock like slot)

I was thinking about checking out some comedy at Roo this year, but I was also counting on somebody worth seeing on the lineup. Unfortunately they went for shitty TV personalities instead of people with legit standup talent. An unfortunate move on Superfly's part, but then again, I'm not exactly coming for the comedy.

I'm not a Fallon fanatic, but I do feel like he's probably found his niche doing the talk show thing. He's more suited as a television personality, as opposed to an actor or sketch comedian. He needs a venue where he can simply be himself. He's definitely rusty, but so was Conan.

I'm ambivalent, but I voted yes. I think he's kinda funny, was pretty good in his SNL days. I don't think he should be hosting Late Night and I think that 'roo could have done MUCH better for a headlining comedian, but I don't dislike him.

After seeing him ruin skits on SNL by awkwardly laughing at himself and looking at the camera there is no way i will waste my time at roo by seeing his set
And danbird hit the nail on the head- we need Jim Gaffigan!

i'm not going to go see him.........but anyone who likes him and goes to his show will probably have a good time. he may play some songs and do a little standup.
this year comedy is all about aziz ansari and showalter/ian black for me.

in reality - that was probably a mule fan who had no idea who lewis black was or why he was interrupting the show. he was a dickk for doing it tho.
fallon will probably be heckled
Why do people have to be bungholes to each other?
I don't get it. Why do you have to bring other people down?
If I don't enjoy something, I leave. Simple as that.
this performance will be when i take a bathroom/beer break. i hate Fallon. he really gets on my nerves. and on another note if triumph is there, there will be heckling. you have to kind of expect people to get pissed when you've got a puppet talking shit to them
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), The Soul of Man Under Socialism
"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
that's about the only good thing i can say about this addition!
very true, but seriously why is he there? he is not remotely funny. my guess it will be easy to get a close seat for this one. the worse part about this is that he may conflict with me goin to the comedy tent to escape the tent. if i go well hes there, well id just rather bare the heat. i hope hes up against some cant misses for me.
Comedians from Boston equals weak sauce (Fallon, Cook) They are wicked awful...HAHAHAHAHA.
Stephen Wright makes up for anything bad that has ever come out of boston
oh and no i dont like jimmy fallon. and even if every comedian at roo get heckled, i dont think Jimmy Fallon is gonna be able to respond particularly well to that.
