We would go out but I spent about 40$ one dinner for 9 and if we would have gone out it would be like 200$. So that's like half a Bonnaroo ticket right there.
I have no idea whats for dinner, but I was thinking about cooking something nice. I did a Jambalaya this week that went over well so I have been thinking about a Bouillabaisse maybe. Still I am open to ideas for something semi fancy. I really cant afford to take everyone out very much so I have been trying for fancy at home recently.
Mmmmmmmmm. Make a buttload of Bouillabasse. With crusty french bread & lemon-garlic aioli. When you serve the leftovers tomorrow, tell em it's Cioppino.

Yeah I am planning on hitting the Asian Grocery and just buying handfuls of random seafood for it. I have never attempted an aioli before any pro tips?

You can cheat at home:
4 T Hellman's 2 T fresh lemon juice 1 T Dijon 1 t minced or roasted garlic pinch smoked paprika, cayenne & salt mix & whisk in 2 T really good olive oil
^That will work and is easier than roasting a red pepper for sure. I am thinking I will do eel, black cod, shrimp, cherrynecks, scallops, and mussels for the soup. Maybe a lobster tail if I can get one cheap, and of course just whatever fish heads they have for the broth.

Dos Equis draft and enchiladas last night with Sarah, MikeD, and sunfox (I think that's her user name, LOL). Mexican again tonight (my mom asked me to meet her, I did not initiate two nights of Mexican food )
i bought some large shell pasta, some ground beef, and spaghetti sauce. im not sure what you call that but im going to call it goolash for now. fixing to cook it all now.
If pasta is large enough to stuff with meat - stuffed shells. If you stuff then cover with sauce, cheese and bake it- baked shells (or baked STUFFED shells!). If small shells, goolash fo' sho'. hahaha. Enjoy!
If the saying, "you are what you eat" were true, I'd be a big bowl of warm, comforting soup. I love, love, love soup. I'd still slirp soup in the summer. Love it.
Last night I made a gigantic batch of semi-vegetarian tortilla soup. I'm excited about eating the leftovers this week. It turned out to be deliciously spicy.
-onion -garlic -frozen corn -black beans -chicken broth -chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce -charred poblano peppers, diced -Trader Joe's taco seasoning (or a mix of cumin, s&p, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper and garlic powder) -diced jalapeno -lime juice -corn tortillas (if you dice them up and toss them into the soup while its boiling, they'll dissolve and add an amazing flavor) -pinch of cilantro
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Burgers. With bacon and Gorgonzola. Topped with Guacamole.
OMG. Gorgonzola makes me holla! Yes, just came up with that hahaha. That burger sounds amazing, unless the guacamole overposwers gorgonzola? Hmm. Avacado slices would be great...
