Pfftttt. Most of those don't even sound that tempting to me even at a reasonable price.
My new roommate (officially set this morning) is le Cordon bleu trained chef. She is working full-time and starting her own catering business as well. Besides the tasty meals I see in my future, I am hoping that she brings some wicked sweet cookware that I can use!
My cooking has been non-existent lately. The past 2-3 weeks I haven't done more than bake chicken to put in my salads. Super wild, that Bonzai.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Fish fry tonight! Woohoo. Cheap eats all through lent. Our happening Friday night: eating some nondescript deep fried fish with all the old folks at church :-)
Two birthday parties tonight, so foodage will be vast and delicious. And booze. Lots of booze. This is the first stop and probably where I'll actually eat: legacyblues.com/IndexPage1.asp
I declare this day, the day between the Ides of March and St. Patrick's Day, to be the day of most merriment!
Tried a stovetop smoker on mushrooms for the first time today. Haven't found any morels, so I settled for store-bought crimini. Mushrooms were stirred in a little olive oil, kosher salt, minced garlic and fresh basil. Green hickory wood from the yard was used for smoke. After smoking, mushrooms were paired with lightly toasted roll drizzled with olive oil. Total vegetarian and very rich tasting. Hickory smoke gives a kinda bacon smell and taste to the 'shrooms. Can't wait to try mushrooms foraged from the wild.

Y'all I had a burger with pimento cheese, green chili salsa, and BBQ Bacon slaw..... it was basically good.
(for you "get fit" threaders, I also had green beans, and no bun on that burger. )[/quothours yesterday in the gorgeous weather, so by the time 8:00 rolled around I was ravenous. I was almost home, but I was in the middle of a small business district. I could have chosen one of two pizza places, Vietnamese, Thai, 2 Chinese, a new Indian place, a dineresque place, a burger joint, Wings Over, two Mexican... all within a 2-3 block radius. I ended up stuffing my face with cheese pizza and a Greek salad. Not the healthiest option, but MAN was it taaasttyyyyyyy.

Just put a 9.5 pound brisket in the oven. Going to have shredded brisket tacos with mango and avocado salsa tonight. Sides will be cheesy scalloped potatoes, grilled asparagus, pasta salad and broccoli. Oh, and gin.
If pasta is large enough to stuff with meat - stuffed shells. If you stuff then cover with sauce, cheese and bake it- baked shells (or baked STUFFED shells!). If small shells, goolash fo' sho'. hahaha. Enjoy!
MMmmmm ;D I had stuffed shells last night! I LOVE LOVE ricotta cheese.. so FUCKING delicious
