Since Phish just melted Live Nation's servers I think they'll headline Fri & Sat, with Bruce on Sunday. What about What Stage: Fri: Beastie Boys, Phish (with a Beastie sit in) Sat: David Byrne, Phish (don't think Mr. Byrne would join Phish for a Talking Heads cover, but who knows) Sun: Wilco, Bruce NIN late night, Which Stage?
nope.. if NIN are playing i don't see them anywhere but on the main stage
Trent doesn't put on a show to fit a smaller stage
Oh and just to bring it up again WTF is MGMT doing on the line up again? They only have one album, are they just going to do the same show they did last year? or do they have an album coming out that I dont know about?
I'm surprised twice over. First that Bruce IS listed before Phish (!), and second that Beasties are listed before NIN. I thought for sure NIN would be the third headliner, but I guess it's Beasties.
So, I guess we have our very first hip-hop headliner?!
I could see Phish playing a late night set and NIN perhaps in a headlining spot.

I dunno man, but all I can say is their show last year was one of the very few shows I've ever seen that I just didn't like at all.... Went in loving them, left despising them... Luckily Battles smoked it directly after them.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly, the crowd was real into it and I had fun but I dont know, didnt seem like they had much energy. Oh well, with them on the line up that means one less conflict.
MGMT is working on a new record...though whether it will be out before Roo is iffy....but they will probably be playing some of the new stuff....
And I could def see NIN headling and BB late night...though remember....Trent says NIN is NOT doing Lights in the Sky anymore...so the don't NEED the big stage necessarily...so they COULD do a late night set on Which just as easily...which I might almost prefer having seen them headline twice already this year...but that's just the selfish in me wanting it to be less crowded and kinda pulling to see a BB headliner...LOL! ;D

i was asking this too...their studio stuff was good but I really was not blown away by their live set.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
Snoop Dogg/Beastie Boys late night. I'm calling it now.
As long as it's not scheduled for 2:15 in the morn (bad karma would follow)
At Bonnaroo, I think the B-Boys will draw about an MMJ-sized crowd, probably a bit bigger. Snoop and the B-Boys could start at midnight on the Which Stage. I think it could work. Then again, I've been wrong before and I'm bound to be wrong again

Really it isn't very surprising. I don't thin Phish is going to be playing the Super Bowl halftime show anytime soon.
Honestly NIN has very dedicated fans, but most people don't know anything that Trent has done in the last 10 years. The Beasties have tons of fans, both casual and hardcore.
The poster, the announcement, is designed to draw in people that might not normally come to 'Roo and to attract attention.
The night after the Super Bowl, you would be the worst marketing person in the history of the universe to not list the half time act as the top headliner.
