It was more of a surprised/relief when Widespread Panic wasn't on the lineup initially. Them being added as a replacement act was absolutely no surprise. In fact, if they hadn't hyped up the announcement I would venture to suggest they would have been viewed as the obvious choice by most people around here.
It's like how Alec Baldwin is always on call to fill in as host of SNL whenever the host they've booked falls through.
Yeah I remember first it was Tool fans were going to ruin Bonnaroo, and then last year it was Metallica so obviously we will get the "NIN fans are going to ruin Bonnaroo" at some point but hopefully like Rooconteur said people have learned there lesson by now.
Not to attract smite, but if you saw the main stage field after Metallica you would have been ashamed!!!
Every trash/recycling barrel overturned, you couldn't take a step without stepping on trash or water bottle. I know they cleaned it all up before the morning, but that's not Rooish.
hey .. on the bonnaroo myspace page i just looked.. and the friends are hidden.. is this happening to anyone else????? possibly a sign they are updating it??

In all fairness, there was an awful lot of trash everywhere, after a lot of sets. I yelled at some kids to pick up their bottles and glowsticks after Pearl Jam. Yeah, I'm that old lady.

Agreed.
Not that the field is ever left particularly clean. But following that show was the worst I have ever seen it.
i kind of feel like this means we were right about the friends being added a few day ago!! yay, nay?
They were NOT hidden an hour ago when I was first reading this thread! I just looked and they are now, in fact, hidden. I am assuming that this means they caught wind of how smart we are over here on inforoo! Now I wanna go back over this thread and look gain at what bands they recently added in the last few days!!

Well we can always look at the artists new friends to see if Bonnaroo did add them, just cause we cant see Roo's friends doesnt mean we cant see if the bands added em...lets get our detective work going

They just hid them from the main page, you can still see Bonnaroo's friends by going to this link, including filtering by new friends, Robyn Hitchcock was added recently:

That is hilarious. I do the same thing! I can't stand a litter bug.
