What happened to Dane Cook? I mean, he used to be a pretty decent comic, but now his jokes seem old and stale. I guess that's what being a movie star does (albeit a crappy one), he forgot about how he got there.
To answer your question, no, I don't see him ever being a Bonnaroo.

I'm pretty sure the only comic that could take Chris Rock's spot passed away this week.
R.I.P George.
My friends and I were actually talking about who could take Chris Rock's spot on the way home from Roo and the only name we came up with was George Carlin.
Dane Cook is a horrible comic. He was alright, and he has good delivery but now his material is just blah.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
^I am guessing with the plagiarism stuff with Louis C.K. That they aren't going to bring him in there, Chappelle could really do a good job with it though I think.

^^this (although Dave Chappelle could certainly draw a big enough crowd, too). It's a shame we'll never get to see George grace the main stage - I think he'd really be in his element at Bonnaroo.
As for Dane Cook - NO. At least not on either one of the two main stages. I could deal with it if they booked him and put him in one of the tents, but there's a thousand other comics I'd prefer to be added.

I liked Dane Cook when he first came out - he was actually pretty damn funny. But I think he lost something along the way and really is not that great anymore.
I would love to see Lewis Black in that slot, or maybe Eddie Izzard.

Lewis Black deserves the main stage, he has played Bonnaroo more than any other comic. Plus, I think he will be back next year since he took a year off this year.

Dane Cook being at Bonnaroo will start to make me really consider not going. Just cuz there would probably be other bands who cater more towards the Dane Cook young fans.
I heard great things about Eddie Izzard in Austin. He played three shows at the Paramount Theatre downtown and sold them all out (he was originally only scheduled for two).

Have a Dave Chappele late night block party with some of the best hip hop and comedy. That would be amazing.
And I wouldnt want Dane Cook at roo. I like him (kinda guilty pleasure...he does tell some funny stories and has a really good physical comedy schtick especially his earlier stuff) but would be more of an arena type guy or a college tour comedian.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

A good friend of mine was on tour with Dane and his job was only to hold a backup mic for him and to hand him the mic when he first comes out on stage, he got fired for "messsing with the mic" when he really didnt do anything, he said Dane was the biggest prick ever and hated working for him.
Oh and If you got a chance to see Louis CK this year im sure youd get to see it again when Dane gets a spot at bonnaroo
Bring Dave Chepelle, Jeff Ross or Lisa Lampenelli or even Artie Lange
