Honestly, this whole thing could've been solved if Kanye played a late night on the Which stage. But that would've meant MMJ or Phil Lesh being moved to a tent, which couldn't have happened. Then again, if he played a late night, he may still have refused to go on against other bands.
Maybe moving Phil Lesh to Widespread's spot could've fixed everything.
My question is: Did someone really throw a bottle at the screen? I left Sigur Ros early and got there at around 2:15. I saw glowsticks being thrown, but never any bottles. When I saw the screen, that pink spot was on there the entire time.
I think it was broken before.
What the heck, Bonnaroo just should've never booked Kanye West.

Actually, the whole thing could have been avoided if Kanye would have just accepted his original time slot and said "Thank you Bonnaroo for letting me be a part of this magical place. I will put on the best performance I possibly can"

yes someone did break the screen i watched it happen as i wasn't even that far away from the dbag. the video worked when he came out but a full bottle hit the screen and the protective layer of the screen cracked and rippled all the way through.

I agree. I was just thinking for the scenario that his show HAD to be in the dark.
I would've preferred his original slot over the late night.
If I were Kanye West, and I was getting booed before going on. I would've just said screw it, and not gone out.
I honestly think he would've been better off cancelling the whole thing due to the birthday bash, rather than coming on late, not addressing the crowd, and performing half his set
I can forgive double booking more than disrespecting the Bonnaroo folk
fantastic. he called the folks at AC and Superfly "SQUID BRAINS" - wtf?
that alone might make this all worth while...
the question is, does Superfly come out and respond to it? or do they take the high road and never book Kanye and sabotage part of his touring career in one way or another behind the scenes...
nothing good can come of some pissing match between them. although, i dont think superfly is completely innocent either.
i'm leaning towards agreeance with you...
but if superfly was totally clean, it would be awesome to see them release a statement like "listen here you little douchebag, cocky motherfucker!............."

^^If Superfly releases a statement which starts off with those words I will pledge my undying loyalty to them and buy tickets to Roo every year for rest of my life. Even if I don't go, I'll still buy the ticket. That would be incredible

LOL, ditto...
i hope they make a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT next year in the days leading up to bonnaroo...
"KANYE WEST WILL NOT BE AT BONNAROO! ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!"
Next year someone should erect a memorial in front of the main stage:
"It was here on June 15, 2008 at 4:30 in the morning that Kanye West invaded Bonnaroo. After an hour of battle, Mr. West, having suffered a massive blow to his ego, retreated. Lead by Robert Randolph, the hippies declared victory."
