One more thing thanks to hazed for introducing me to Inforoo.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

i'm halfway between nyc and boston (equal distance form both) my city is split down the middle between red sox and yankee fans, so baseball season around here is crazy. luckily i prefer oakland

Yeah, and the whole personal ownership over season ticket stuff is BS. I love how outraged Teams, bands, and lables are getting over internet resales. They take this "if anyones gonna make profit its us" stance. I dont know if it happened, but major artists (Madonna, Paul Mccartney) where gonna begin setting 100 tickets a show aside to re-sell via online auction. Thats the greediest thing Ive ever heard.
Karma for the NY location. No place Id rather be.

Wow, that must get pretty crazy for you. Its scary when you travel the country and realise that this rivalry isnt just a Beantown/NY thing. You can go to Montana and see people arguing BoSox/Yankees stuff. I was born and raised a Yankees fan. I hate it when people look at all Yankees fans as bandwagoners. Man, I had to suffer through some TERRIBLE Yankee teams in the late 80s and early 90s.
I played most of my life, so I follow the league itself more than the Yankees. This time of year is bad for me. Im going nuts waiting for the season to start.

i know. it is out of control. and i refuse to buy off ebay and above face value. im one of those people who gets my bunch of tickets online the day they go on sale. but this year i couldnt justify spending a load of money for single tixx- so i only bought one red sox/yanks late august game. i'll listen to the other games on the radio - and i will splurge on my seats come post season

Im pretty much the same way. I ended a streak of 13 straight home openers last year. Ill definetly splurge for post season tickets. Beside that I try to catch a few. I think Im going to be camping out to get All-Star tickets next year. Ive never been to one and Ive always loved the AS game since I was little. I also plan on standing outside the stadium when they tear it down so I can get anything possible. I dont care if its a shingle, or a piece of concrete. I need something. I can rant for hours, but the Yankees are going to be an even scarier team over the next 7 seasons. Not just because of the restocked farm system, but because of a clause in the Revenue sharing agreement which states that any team who builds a new stadium is exempt from paying the luxury tax for 5 years (Roughly $50-70mil a season for them). Now consider all the payroll we've dropped. And then look at names hitting free agency like Johan Santana and Mark Texeira. Lots of scary things are going to happen in the Yankees nation. Well, for the rest of baseball.

Like I always say, Im not just a Yankees fan. Im nuts about baseball. That said, I've always admired what Billy Beane has done with Oakland. Low spending budget every year and he still manages to keep them at the top of their division.
